Rapha Randonnées Literature

Door Joe Hall • 30th March 2010 11:57am • Gepost in Art & Design

Working in an age where a large amount of output is digital, existing only on hard drives, servers and computer screens, it is always satisfying when printed work arrives at Rapha. There is usually a degree of trepidation when a digital file is sent off to be transformed into a 3D object, but when the result is something like this, it's great to see (and feel).

This latest print run is a collection of booklets for the upcoming Rapha Randonnées 2010. A pack of three separate books will be sent to every rider before their trip, detailing General Randonnée Info, a Training Plan and a specific guide to the Randonnée they will embark upon.

Very nice.
Today just arrived Rapha rides Siracusa and I must say it made my day, I especially like lining with pink floss, great detail.

For me as a graphic designer is always a joy to see (and touch) such beautiful prints (and that smell ahhh :-)).

These look wonderful, and I agree with Jan - great to see and touch good print work.

I'd be signing up for a Randonnée in a flash, but they are a little too 'advanced' for me…. hoping for something next year aimed at the less fit rider, but one just as keen to ride and experience a great trip :)

I agree with the plaudits above. I just received the Rapha Rides Siracusa catalog and pamphlet. The "Book of Optics" engraving is very cool and the pink sewing a nice touch. I'd love a copy of the Appennini pamphlet too. I hope this literature becomes generally available, even to those who can't afford to sign up the Randonnée packages.
