These look like magnificent odes to the heart of our beloved cycling.

Miss Mumford…Block out the diary and divert all calls!

two hero's of the sport, and one overpaid welder? hmmm….. strange mix.

Dunno, Mr. Bodkins, you may have to wait a while for Pegoretti's frames and they are a pretty penny, but will last you much longer than, say, a Focus…Not that I'm a snob.

if I want a IWC I go to a good jeweler and buy it, the same day. some of these "artists" have crazy waiting times and I want to see if a IWC lasts longer then a Swatch.

Mr. Hall, there's a time for Pegoretti masterpiece and a time for a carbon Focus. People will argue which is better, and sometimes the answer is both/either. Mr. Bodkins is correct to point out Focus is a partner for cyclocross- a sport where Focus has it's roots in the sport.

Mr. Bodkins, it's tough to say that Dario is not a hero of the sport in so much that he's built so many bikes for so many of the heros of our sport- some adorned with his name on the tubes, others with the names of others. Still, I imagine he is much less overpaid than we'd think. Hand-craft is a quality worth the price to the person wanting and willing to give that price.

To be honest, I haven't ridden a Pegoretti nor a Focus. I've driven a Ford Focus, and they're pretty nippy. Does anyone know what car Pegoretti drives? I doubt it's a Ford or a Ferrari. Hopefully a Fiat Cinquecento: http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/gallery/2007/jul/05/design.italy

Roll of the Dice is now online and it is pretty cool. Thanks for doing this.

Watched "Roll of the Dice" twice already. Could easily watch it a few more times. I thought it was very well done. A wee bit dramatic, but hey, isn't that what we look for in film? Good job. I give it a thumbs way up and can't wait for the next installment.

somebody knows why the focus/rapha kit has the same colours then the vanilla speedvagen shown at NAHBS 2010?

A Throw of the Dice - stunning cinematography and intriguing historical references woven into the main storyline - brilliant stuff, well done to all concerned!

Can't wait for the next two (and I now have the perfect excuse to book two more Fridays off work).

Stefan, thanks for pointing this out… Not sure why you brought this up on a post about something completely unrelated.

Originally Speedvagen were co-sponsors of our US 'cross tema - hence the colours. Due to Speedvagen having to concentrate all their efforts this coming year on framebuilding, they had to step down from being co-sponsors for our 'cross team. Focus stepped in and we are very pleased to be working with them. Best of luck to Speedvagen.

hello Joe,

I brought this up since above NO BODKINS came up with the "focus" news, since I knew since some time that there was some collaboration with speedvagen in the air, I was surprised to see that now it is focus. thank you, good luck!
