“On the return, only a few miles from the car, I saw the perfect way down to the river and the emerald green swimming hole I’d noticed the day before. In the middle of the water was this massive triangle-shaped rock-tower standing some 35 feet above the surface. I scrambled down to the spire and climbed the mossy mass.
