Part 4 - Cooper Spur

Share this:

Miles 115-125
The three-mile drop down to HWY 35 is a cool, green blur interspersed with sweeping corners and sightings of Mt Hood. After a very short distance on the highway, steadily working itself down the mountain, the two-mile climb to Cooper Spur begins. The grade is hard and constant. The drop down the far side is a rush, first through dense trees and then around wide, grassy switchbacks and finally massive, orchard hills. The last 12-miles, down to Hood River, comes rolling and rural.
