Part 3 - Nestucca

Deel dit:

"Greg let us drag him around all morning. I kept fading back to pick him up and drag him back to the group. And then right when we get to the start of the biggest climb in Oregon he finally comes alive. It’s a classic Greg move. We get about 500 yards into the first steep section and Eyera and Hott start digging into it for real. A minute later Greg, who’s still sitting in at this point, notices Daniel and I starting to fade and he can see we’re all getting dropped. So he rolls off, by and past us. He doesn’t stop to chat or let us get on his wheel or say hi, he just rolls left and jumps after those guys, leaving us to suffer. I eventually drop Daniel who was starting to pant and make strange noises. Every second of every minute of that climb hurt.”
– Doctor

At the top you punch through the forest and confront a perfect view of the next mile-and-a-half climb to the horizon. Seriously.
The pass, one of the highest in the Coast Range, is pretty and clearcut in spots. Big rollers take you several miles across the top - and just when you’ve given up hope of an acutall descent, you reach the far side. Many miles of fast and blurry green eventually deliver you to the Nestucca River.
