Oregon Manifest

Rapha’s pioneering spirit will be on display during the Oregon Manifest weekend of hand-built bicycles, cyclocross and US Northwest cycling culture.

Join the team in Portland for a weekend of beautiful craftsmanship, raucous racing and an original Rapha experience.

Rapha Cyclocross Roller Race Qualifier

Friday 10th October, 4:30pm – 7:00pm.

Compete for one of four spots in the open, wildcard team. You’ll get two shots at racing 500-meters to post your fastest time. Wear your normal clothes and shoes, bikes are provided. No pedal swapping.

Winners will be contacted by 9am Saturday morning with instructions regarding the Rapha Cross Roller Race being held later that evening.

Rapha Cross Roller Race

Saturday 11th October. Doors open at 7:30pm. Racing starts at 8pm.

It’s October and the road season is over, way over. It’s time for mud, rain and cold. Time for barriers, bells and run-ups. Thank God it’s time for Cross. And, it’s time for the first-ever, never-done-before, Rapha Cyclocross Roller Race.

This is a Roller Race ingeniously mixed with a cross race. And a party. There will be pageantry, showman-and-showwoman-ship. There will be spectacle. Come one and all to the Rapha Cross Roller Race and behold, as 12 men’s and 4 women’s teams compete for glory and prizes, and most importantly for your entertainment.

Cross Roller Racing is a highly competitive and thoroughly costumed night of 500 meter on-stage roller sprints combined with running, dashing and jumping through a 250 yard indoor cross course, complete with barriers, run-ups and Zoo-Bomb bikes.

• Women’s first prize is a Sweatpea Bicycles semi-custom cross frame.
• Men’s first prize is a Signal Cycles semi-custom cross frame.

Entry is $10, with the first drink free. 21-and-over show. Beer thankfully from Portland’s own Bridgeport Brewing Company.

The new Rapha Cross Range and Rouleur 2008 Photo Annual will be on display and for order.

Rapha Continental at the Oregon Manifest

Friday 10th October / Saturday 11th October.

For two years the Rapha Continental has documented some of America’s most epic routes and rides. Inspired by the glory days of cycling - it’s heroes, legends and myths - the Continental is a journal of artful photography and profound words. A selection of original images captured over the last two years, including works from Dan Sharp, Brian Vernor, Chris Milliman, Nate Armbrust and Daniel Wakefield Pasley, will be on display at the Oregon Manifest show.
