Sophisticated storage for daily riding or cycling weekenders

Styled on the bestselling Rapha Backpack but offering greater storage capacity, the Rapha Rucksack is a feature-packed, technical cycling pack designed for everyday riding but also to double as a weekend travel bag. Made from Rapha’s signature 500D Cordura® fabric, the Rucksack is both durable and water resistant, with reflective dots imprinted into the main panels. It features ergonomic spine padding for comfort, and chest and waist straps for stability. A robust grab handle makes for easy carrying when not riding.

The main compartment can be expanded for extra storage – from 32 litres to 35 litres – and internal features include a soft, tricot-lined pocket for sunglasses, a laptop sleeve with removable padding, dedicated document sleeves and a shoe compartment. A concealed compartment holds a hi-vis rain cover for when you get caught out in the wet.

Please note: Gift wrap is not available on this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing design, really well thought through I have been looking for a bag for commuting for a while and have tried various ones, but could never find one that ticked all the boxes, until now. I need a fair bit of space for a change of clothes, lunch box, inevitable work papers, sometimes a few groceries on the way home. I also need it to be comfortable when riding, waterproof, stylish (I'm an architect, these things matter when I meet clients), with easily accessible pockets for keys, phone etc. This rucksack does all of the above and more. Some cycling bags are just big sacks, this has cool pockets inside to keep stuff separate and easy to find. It isn't the cheapest, but worth every penny. The extra expandable section is great for stashing yet more stuff when needed. Looks & feels great too, did I say that?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The one backpack I love bags. I own 280 things total, and 25 of them are bags. I own 3 pairs of pants, to add a point of reference. So I hope you can feel the weight of my preference, when I say this is the one bag I would keep if I can only have one. It is sufficiently generic in appearence, but certainly have a style. The reflective dots work extrememly well in dark riding conditions. Pockets and compartments are well thought-out for cyclists or otherwise. The hi-vis rain cover attracts a lot of attention, while serving its primary function very well. My one and only complaint is about the zipper pulls on the small external pockets. While the large O-ring that is attached perpendicular to the direction of the zipper is probably a logical design, in practice, it rubs on the flaps covering the zippers quite a bit. This friction is both inconvenient in use, and also may compromise the durability of these zippers. No other complaints. Holds enough things for a weekend trip, distributes weight quite well both on and off the bike, and high production quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A complete backpack Brilliant backpack, it has enough space for anything you throw at it (a change of clothes with a pair of shoes). The only issue I can see is the placement of the rain cover on the back, but the bumpy feeling goes away as you use the backpack on a daily basis. Great on bicycle and on a motorcycle. This fits my needs better than the regular Rapha backpack. As always with Rapha you get an excellent product and excellent customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO FUNCTIONAL This bag is a brilliant everyday commuters bag. I do a combination of public transport on a train, and ride my bike. I am a freelancer, so I pack everything from my laptop, lunch and gym gear in my bag. This bag makes my stuff feel light, keeps everything protected and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enormously practical & stylish commuter rucksack. I was a little hesitant at spending this much on a backpack but I am glad I went ahead and bought the rucksack. My requirements were for a practical commuting backpack that can also double as a laptop backpack in a corporate environment. This absolutely meets those and more. The understated stlying combined with all the cycling specific features for me means this is the best backpack I have used for commuting and work. The many pockets, zips and overall build quality of the backpack is second to none. The only negative I have at this stage (and I agree with an earlier reviewer post by 'Karlhuna') is that the positioning of the rain cover is now in a spot where it is definitely noticeable and I am yet to experience if this makes it uncomfortable when using the backpack fully loaded with laptop and clothes etc. If it does then I will store the rain cover in the bottom of the shoe compartment. Using it today only half full was a joy and I forgot I was wearing a backpack.

Hi, is there any creative way to carry a yoga mat with the backpack?

Asked by: Verylarry
Hi, there are small bungee cord straps on the back of the bag for holding a helmet. You could thread a piece of rope/cord through the straps and then tie this round the yoga mat to secure it. If you're in a rush, you can always slip it in between your back and the bag.

Hi, the Rucksack does not have a frame in the interior, at the back. The padding does aid with the structure of the product.
