Lightweight bike touring pack

Looking for adventure but don’t want to carry cumbersome panniers? Or perhaps your bike doesn’t hold a rack? Rapha has partnered with ultra-light rackless packing brand Apidura for this highly functional handlebar pack designed for hassle-free bicycle touring. Easily attached to fit smartly just underneath your handlebars with a strong two-point attachment system, the pack has roll-top closures at either end, protecting your gear in a versatile manner. A bungee cord tie-down feature is included on the outer top, should you need extra storage, and Rapha has woven reflective yarns into all of the outer webbing and shockcords for extra visibility when riding in low light. Resplendent in Rapha’s iconic black, white and pink colour scheme, this handlebar pack, when paired with the Saddlebar Pack, is all you need to hit the road in search of some far-flung adventure.

Please note that, while the body fabric of this pack is waterproof, due to the stitching process used to assemble the product, there is the possibility for water to enter through the seams when exposed to sustained rain. Rapha and Apidura recommend using an internal dry bag for contents that must remain absolutely dry (such as electronics).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little pack This front pack works really well for me when I want to ride my road bike in for a 20-50 miler before work and need to bring a change of clothes, or some extra food. And then helps carry home what I need on the way back. Not suitable for business papers and such but works well for soft gear that you can stuff in easily. Real easy to take on and off and well designed: the extra length of straps have a little loop to put them through so they don't flap around and the top tie-down works well for anything bulky (I carried running shoes on there for 5 miles no problem!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bar Bag Once again an amazingly fast delivery. The Rapha Apidura bar bag is better than what you expect based on the information on the website. It's hard to do it justice on the screen. On receiving it I was pleasantly surprised at how well it is made. Good quality materials to make it last. It's so easy to mount and surprisingly roomy. The looks are great and match so well to the rear seat bag from the same range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a great bag I snaffled this bag up a few weeks ago when it came back into stock and love it. I was having troubles with rear bags as they would rub my tyre so I looked into handlebar bags. To begin with, I was concerned about whether it'd fit my handlebars as I'm only 5'2" so my bike frame is small. I decided to just go for it and am glad I did! My handlebars are 34cm across and while I wouldn't be able to have this bag fully expanded, it fits more than enough for my commutes to work without any interruption to my shifters. I can fit a rectangular lunch box (think of those standard take away containers), small snacks, wallet, keys, phone, lip balm, tissues, and raincoat with room to spare. I can even fit a small umbrella in there. It's like the mary poppins of handlebar bags for a commuter. I've been in a few showers as well and I haven't noticed any infiltration of water either. I'd definitely snap this baby up if you're considering it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for rhe raid pyrenean Super bar bag for long rides slightly limits your handle bar positions but more than makes up for it very well made

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag, effortless mounting This pack is pretty great—constructed well with nice reflective features. I have yet to go bike-camping or carrying anything too serious in it, but it has at least room for a spare kit, some street clothes, and a bag of CLIF bars. The pink liner is a nice touch. If you carry everything you need in your jersey and don't need access to your supplies while riding, this pack is a great alternative to a traditional rack + decaleur + randonneuring "box", or a lower-capacity handlebar bag with a bulky plastic handlebar clip. There' no additional hardware to install or futz with—just pack it, strap it to the front of your bike, and go. I have very narrow bars (40cm or 42cm, depending on the shape and reach) and it fits between my shifters without too much smashing. My SRAM shifter paddles sometimes hit the sides of the pack, but I can usually just apply more pressure and get around it. I've found that if the pack is a little under-capacity or swaying side-to-side too much, it helps to loop the rolling closure loops around the handlebar as well, just to give it an additional anchor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I mean, just look ...beautiful In short its beautiful , functional and easy to use. Id like to see rapha and apidura colaberate to bring the small attaching bag and frame bag in too. Depending on the bike changing from the drops can be an issue but otherwise faultless.

Bag looks very nice but lacking details! How exactly does this attach to bars; if using flat top wing bars does it interfere with hand position on wing section? How about compatibility with a fork mounted dyno light, does it clear the light ?

Asked by: jamesbld8
Hi, the bag attaches through a series of adjustable straps. It should not interfere with your controls on wing bars. It will clear the light, unless you have a very very small frame.

Does this size prevent you getting on the drops?

Asked by: Timbo79
Hi, it may obstruct the drops if you have narrower bars, and if you pack it fully. With bars of 44cm wider, the bag should fit comfortably even when fully packed.
