When the temperature drops but you still need to put in a good hard ride, these padded winter tights are used on Team Sky's winter base rides and cold weather training sessions.

High-performance winter tights

Deep into the coldest season, these tights will keep you warm but stop you overheating thanks to a dual-fabric construction inspired by the Pro Team Jacket.

The wind-blocking DWR (durable water repellent) fabric on the front panels gives necessary protection from the elements while the breathable fabric on the rear allows sweat to be released from the back of the tights. A nifty innovation to stop you sweating in traditionally thick winter wear.

The chamois is in the same position as in the Pro Team Bib Shorts, staying stable and comfortable during even high-intensity efforts in the drops. The bib straps are constructed from a lightweight mesh, and the tights' waist is raised to offer insulation across the torso, keeping the lower back warm. Finished with bright details for visibility in low light.

Reviews:

‟Heading out on a couple of early morning rides with a temperature of about 2°C, my legs were toasty warm. And thanks to the breathable fabric at the back of the legs, I never experienced any overheating, even as the temperature moved up into double figures after a five-hour ride. For riding in really bad weather these tights are about the best I've ever tested.”
‟Fit is an area Rapha generally do extremely well, and these are extremely comfortable bib tights. The DWR treated material does not have a great deal of stretch, but thanks to the smart cut of the various panels there is no restriction on your freedom of movement when pedalling. The fit is good around the hips, bum and crotch area too, and the flat wide bib straps exert no undue pressure on your shoulders.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and Warmth I bought these just over a week ago and they have been fantastic, I don't know why I didn't get them earlier. They provide great warmth on those cold mornings and the fit is good also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect winter bibs Picked these up st the end of season sale. Winter has held on here so have worn them twice in upper 30sF temps. Nice warmth, great fit and comfortable pad. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome These Winter Bibs are exactly what I expected from Rapha. The fit is a bit more snug than my 3/4 Thermal Bibs in XL but that's ok. The Pro Team line usually is. I'm 6' 182 lbs. The length is right on, no bunching behind my knee. Excellent pad, the felt at the top of the straps are a nice touch. Warm and dry in 43 degree F, slightly windy short ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid all-rounder for fall/winter Bought this for use in both interval sessions and long rides during fall & winter in Norway. Have used it in +/- 5° weather, without getting cold. The wind proofing and water repellent works great. A tight fit that requires some time getting properly into, but afterwards it fits perfectly. A great product to have in your wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have item for winter Been riding with this bib in a super cold day around -5c with no problem. The cutting is good. I'm 172cm/ 62kg fit well with size S just feel a little bit baggy around my thigh. The padded is quite thick compare to another rapha bib.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Winter Attire.. Bought these to see me through the winter and as an alternative to thermal bibshorts and leg warmers, and what a fantastic purchase. Not a small outlay, but well worth the money. Never let me down, keep warm with the standard fantastically comfortable pad, and in showers they kept me dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and well constructed The pro team winter tights are a must have article for cold winter rides. I would say the ideal temperature to wear these is lower than 5degrees C. When it warmed up above that I found that I was too hot. Pair them with a pro team soft shell jacket, a base layer, and a training jersey and you'll be comfortable in pretty much any condition below 5degrees C. The fabric offered good protection from the wind and offered a good amount of compression. The tights are very snug, so consider trying them on first if you don't like a tight fit or considering going up a size. Otherwise, these a great addition to your winter wardrobe.

What is the major difference(s) between the brevet winter tights with pad and the pro team winter tights with pad?

Asked by: winter_rider
Hi, the Pro Team Winter Tights with Pad have a slightly closer fit than the Brevet Winter Tights With Pad. The Brevet tights have a fast drying pad and are designed to be particularly comfortable on very long rides. Both have a DWR water resistant finish. Finally, The Pro Team Winter Tights with Pad are not quite as warm as the Brevet Winter Tights with Pad so they can be worn in warmer conditions.

I find the core bib shorts in medium to be a bit tight and the brevet bib shorts in medium to be a bit loose. Which do these fit more like?

Asked by: gravelgrinder
Hi, the Pro Team Winter Tights fit closer to the Core Bib Shorts and may even be slightly tighter. We would recommend you choose a size large in these tights.

Hi. I have 90cm waist and 73cm inside leg.  Would a L worn in these for me? Currently wear medium team sky bib shorts. Thanks

Asked by: Vaughan
Hi, these bibs have a close fit in line with the Pro Team range. it is important to have the correct fit at the waist and so we would recommend you choose size large. As always, we do have a free 90 day returns policy if needed.

I have the rcc pro team bib short in XL and my leg length is 31'' would you recommend the L or XL?

Asked by: pjom
Hi, we would recommend you purchase the XL. The fit is the same as the Pro Team Bib Shorts so if these fit you well in XL, the L would be too small in the Pro Team Winter Tights. As always we do have a free 90 day returns policy if needed.

I am 6', 78kgs, 32" waist and 32" inside leg. I tried a medium of these last winter but could even get them past my calves after 5 mins of struggling and had to return them. Would any other size work for me?

Asked by: BikeJon
Hi, we would recommend you try our Classic Winter Tights as these are not quite as close fitting.
