A lightweight, durable and versatile cycling jersey for adventures on the hottest of days

With a lighter-weight construction, yet still able to meet the demands of the toughest long-distance rides, the Brevet Lightweight Jersey is highly breathable and quick to wick away moisture. Reflective Brevet stripes feature on the chest, and three large cargo pockets provide ample storage for food and tools. This fast-drying jersey can be washed and dried overnight ready for your next day’s ride.

In January 2016, three riders from Rapha travelled to South Africa to explore the route of the Tour of Ara; a 700km endurance race through the arid and isolated Karoo region. Facing fierce daytime temperatures, the riders returned asking for a lighter-weight version of the venerable Brevet Jersey, informing the development of the Brevet Lightweight Jersey. Using a 100gm2 fabric, this garment is perfectly suited to adventure rides in hot conditions and features an anti-bacterial, odour-resistant treatment that keeps the jersey fresher for longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Visible! I was doubtful about the color at first since i generally wear shades of black. I needed to spice up and also make myself more visible on the road. The size fits perfectly, slightly more loose but still fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, well made, good looking Great lightweight jersey. I was looking for a jersey for long rides, in hot weather. The lightweight Brevet is sturdy, very breathable, reflective and attractive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought this online after seeing in the Rapha shop. Fits me (155 lbs, 5'9") perfectly. Very stylish, with a high visibility yellow band. Have worn it twice so far along with Pro Team base layer for 3+ hours in 90 degree temps and was comfortable throughout the ride. Yes it's not cheap, but I think Rapha products are a step above in quality, performance, and looks. I'm a convert.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfy! Nice fitting without being a race cut. Good sized pockets for long days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cut, lightweight fabrics Love the fit, pocket size, and style of the jersey. Suits me well for long summer rides in Arizona, breathability is top notch. Only question I have is whether the seams on the chest will cause any irritation without a baselayer, which is still yet to be seen. Already one of my favorite jerseys

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new go to Jersey for warm weather long rides As the Pro models tend to be a bit too snug my long ride Jerseys fell into 2 categories. Wool blend, mostly Brevet model as I often have days in the Rockies where it will range from 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit and the extra storage is great. For warmer days my go to was the super lightweight jersey which worked great except I found the fabric to be more fragile to snags that the other Rapha jerseys. The new lightweight Brevet has a much more Robust finish but is almost as breathable and light. The also look cool with the reflective striking. If they could figure out how to get the extra large pocket on a jersey of this weight that would be the holy grail but for now this is my go to Warm weather jersey.

Hello, Can you tell me if the black version of this uses Coldblack technology in the fabric?  I love black but feel it's a sure benefit when hot, similar to the black in last years climbers jersey.  Thanks.

Asked by: JMF1141
Whilst we do not use coldback technology on our garments all our garments offer UV protection and black absorbs energy from the body rather then reflecting it back keeping you cool. Once the black clothing absorbs heat from the sun, it radiates it away with a little help from atmospheric conditions or riding conditions such as a bit of breeze or wind, which in tun keeps you cool in hot and humid conditions.

HI - wondering about size - I picked up a small merino/mesh shirt,  wear a small in the Assos SS.cento_s7 Jersey. I'm 5'10"  145 pounds - should I go for a small or medium - I don't want a race fit, but not a baggy one either. Thanks

Asked by: JasonC
Hi, from what you have said it is likely you will be a small. However, it is difficult to accurately advise without other measurements, particularly your chest measurement. It is best to take this measurement and then refer to our sizing guide.

The reflective stripes are only on the chest?? And are both stripes reflective??

Asked by: DonT
Hi, the stripes are on the front and back but only the lower stripe is reflective.

Hi, Im looking at buying my first jersey....Ideally for a trip to Cyprus in a few weeks, its ranging 15-20 degrees with some downhill from climbing which would be cooler, would this jersey be a good option with a gilet, if so which one?

Asked by: paulsh090802
Hi, combined with a gilet, this jersey would be a good option. An accompanying Brevet Gilet would be a great choice. This gilet is lightweight and easily packable when you are working hard on the climbs.

is the size of the brevet lightweight similar to a club jersey (where i am a medium) or a super lightweight/pro jersey (where i am a large)?

Asked by: ericcarandang
Hi, this jersey has a slightly different fit to all of the jerseys you mentioned. The fit is more relaxed than that of the Super Lightweight or Pro Team Jersey and we recommend you choose a medium. As always we do have a free 90 day returns policy if needed.

Is this jersey meant for hot weather? Just like the super lightweight and pro team jersey collections?

Asked by: kennyleow
Hi, as we all regulate temperature differently it is hard to advise on the temperature range for individuals and differing exertion levels will also affect it's properties. However, the Brevet Jersey was tested during the Tour of Ara, a 700km race in South Africa - so was worn during notoriously hard, and challenging, conditions.

Regarding the thickness and feel of the fabric, would you say it's comparable to the super lightweight jersey or closer to the pro team?

Asked by: Dogmatic13
Hi, this jersey feels more comparable to the Super Lightweight Jersey than the Pro Team Jersey.
