High-performance cycling accessory made from soft merino wool

Made from a fabric developed exclusively by Rapha, these high-performance knee warmers combine the natural performance properties of merino wool with a degree of Lycra for stretch and durability. They provide insulation, are highly breathable and also transfer moisture effectively. The fabric is quick-drying so the knee warmers can be used in a variety of conditions.

Reviews:

They keep their shape throughout even a long ride and that’s a good thing. They also stay warm if they get a bit sweaty and are much more odour-resistant than most synthetic fabrics.
There’s just the one seam and it’s flatlock stitched so you can’t even feel it and a silicone rubber gripper stops the top from slipping.

Rapha Merino Wash has been specially formulated for Rapha merino products, with a gentle action that cleans without stripping out the natural oils that are the key to merino’s performance. Used regularly, the wash will remove dirt and refresh merino garments thanks to ingredients that include Rapha’s Ventoux fragrance. Inspired by the plants and herbs that grow on the slopes of the ‘Giant of Provence’, the wash also has natural Cedar extract to help repel moths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best leg warmers I've come across. Merino leg warmers are a game changer... these are genuinely my favourite Rapha product. When you do a lot of volume, comfort is key... consecutive long days in the saddle lead to all kinds of chafing and sores. :\ Typically leg warmers chafe the back of my knees and round the band at the top, take the shadow leg warmers for example, they are stiff because of the waterproofing fabric, this stiffness wore a large hole in the back of my knees during consecutive long days, however during one day rides the waterproofing properties contribute to comfort and outweigh the downside of chafing. The merino leg warmers are soft, comfortable and don't chaff at all, they have a great warmth to weight ratio, the rubber grippers keep them firmly in place, without rubbing, they also look great - no ugly bunching around the knee. I really wasn't joking when I said these are my favourite product, a great example of getting the seemingly insignificant, everyday essentials... RIGHT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weight for colder So Cal days, but run big I love the weight, material and quality of these leg warmers. They are perfect for those mornings you aren't quite sure if it will be cold enough to wear fleece leg warmers. They keep you warm, but not too hot if the sun comes out. My only gripe is that I wish they came in one size smaller, I wear an XXS in Rapha women's bibs and these are a bit baggy on me. I'm going to have to get them tailored.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent day and night knee warmers Bought for a 2500 mile race and just as good as a sunscreen in the desert as they are as leg warmers at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit, Wonderful Feel I purchased these in the size recommended. When I saw them, I was sure they would not fit. However, they have a generous stretch and fit perfectly. The grippers hold them in place perfectly without pinching or binding and after 125 miles in the saddle, they were still exactly as I put them on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays in place. Works in a variety of temperature I purchased these to replace some worn out merino arm warmers from a different company. These are better in most ways as they have some stretch (5% elastane, 95% wool). The silicone gripper keeps them in place very well (my old ones never seemed to want to stay in place because they had no gripper.) I can wear these in 85F heat without issue as they function as coolers as well as warmers (if you don't believe that black wool can cool you, check out the Bedouin in North Africa and the Tuareg in the Sahara... they wear black wool.) I frequently ride Mt. Hamilton in California, and the 4000ft altitude change means temperatures vary by up to 30F and I find these to be perfect for the task.
