LE TOUR: From Maillot Jaune to Lanterne Rouge
James Straffon’s artwork explores the visually-rich narrative of cycling heritage - dating back over a century of road racing. Using collage, resin and other mixed-media, Straffon documents an iconic panorama of the world's greatest sporting event.
Accompanying an exhibition in London during July 2012, this book is a reproduction of the physical artworks created by Straffon. With a foreword by Simon Mottram of Rapha and a preface by pro racer and art lover, David Millar, the book also contains written entries relating to the legends and myths which inspired every piece.
