one of the best commuter bicycles on the market - solid fenders - solid steel frame partly lugged - gemoffeld ( dutch ) backed paintwork - nice old school cloth-chainguard even so called raincoat-protector / guard and 3 speed - no worries when streets are wet - typical dutch rearwheel-lock and rocksolid panniers that will even carry an adult person ….. stainless steel rims ( 36 spoke pattern ) this bike will last a lifetime
BATAVUS named after the Batavieren locals that lived in the LowLands / the Netherlands when the Romans were invading Europe - BATAVUS stands for sturdy & invincible
