Rouleur Photo Annual 2008

Following the success of Rouleur's first cycling photography annual, published in October of 2007, this 2008 follow up again showcases the superb work of the Rouleur photographers.

This book is a collection of work from nine of Rouleur's main photographers. They have documented all the famous events on the cycling calendar this year, as well as some more esoteric races. The result has been prolific, and the images herein are some of the finest taken since Rouleur started on issue 1. The photographs in this volume give you a insight into cycling's many facets: the riders, the people, the officials, and the different landscapes that form the backdrop for the races, from the northern Essex marshes of Dengie to the Italian Dolomites. These are nine very different, yet very personal views represented in this book, which is a must-have for any fan of cycling or photography.

The photographers featured in the 2008 annual are:

  • Ben Ingham
  • Camille J McMillan
  • Geoff Waugh
  • Gerard Brown
  • Guy Andrews
  • Olaf Unverzart
  • Rein van de Wouw
  • Taz Darling
  • Timm Kölln.

Among the races photographed are:

  • Tour of Flanders
  • Paris-Roubaix
  • Tour de France
  • Giro d'Italia
  • Amstel Gold Race
  • Paris-Nice
  • Dauphiné Libéré

Praise for the 2007 Annual:

"It has a narrative that leads you deep into our great sport"
LondonCycleSport.com

"It's a stunning collection"
Cycling Weekly

"Superbly presented and perfect for the coffee table"
Cycling Plus

"The photography is both in colour and black and white and is, quite frankly, stupendous. With no intended disrespect to any of the regular monthlies or their photographic contributors who are, after all, fulfilling a different function, this is several orders of magnitude above and beyond"
