Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleased I bought it now In two minds when I saw this - I'm a bit wary of special/limited editions and though I liked the overall design I thought the colours looked a bit sombre. Having worn it on a long ride a week back I'm now happy with purchase. Fit and material are like my 2015 classic jersey (which I still slightly prefer) and the colour scheme looks brighter when you are wearing it. The detailing is fairly subtle (though I'd prefer woven to applique) so you don't feel too pretentious wearing it. As with the classic jersey I find the fit close & comfortable rather than tight (5ft 9", 69kg, medium).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very satisfied with first wool blend jersey I was hesitant about getting a wool blend jersey, but I decided to give it a go. Now I think I'll be buying more wool. I think this jersey is deal between 65-80 degrees. It just felt right and I didn't seem to get too hot or cool. The only negative for me: I'm 5'7", weigh 135 so I bought a small - I feel the jersey is a little long and feel my height is proportion to my weight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Form and function and style The story behind the jersey was my first port of call. I read the words with interest, and being a bit of a francophile, it resonated. So I took a closer look at the jersey. Style initially. Bold and striking. At once Harlequined court jester and traditional team styling. I was in, impulse buy, who needs more jerseys? Not me for sure. But soon after arriving in the post it has risen to be in my top 3. The style helps, but mainly the beautiful smooth wool blend, easy to wear in the Aussie spring, and not the least irritating to my skin which normally hates wool jerseys (I always wear undershirts under wool to prevent itch, even the dearest Merino stuff). And finally the quality manufacture and details I have come to rely on, only found in my Rapha jerseys.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun design, nice construction, fit not quite right Love the style, fabric and construction, but consistent with Rapha as of late, the fit isn't quite right. I am 5'11" 157 lbs. I ordered a medium which was clearly too big, exchanged it for a small. The small fits mostly right except the sleeve cuffs are bizarrely loose and the shoulders flap in the wind. I am trim and fit, but not a beanstalk. Rapha needs to revisit its cuts, fits and get some consistency and proportion back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Visible and the Benefits of Wool It's been shown that contrast, rather than color, is what makes a jersey visible. This thing burns the eyeballs if you look at it too long, which is exactly what I like. Even if you hate acid-yellow, you can still have a hi-viz jersey. I also wear wool and wool blends exclusively and could pontificate for hours about the benefits. I'll just say 'far superior evaporative cooling' and you can go read a book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from London-Paris 24H! I bought this jersey and wore it for the Scope charity ride (London to Paris 24h) in July 2016! I was one of the a the group of 7 riders out of 148 to finish the challenge under the 24 hours. ( 300 miles with 6 hours wait for the ferry and the logistics at Dover) This was my jersey of choice. Obviously the colour scheme and the fact that it was called French Rivals played a huge part in my decision to buy it in the first place. In terms of performance, it's hard to give a definite answer. Over 24 hours of cycling in one of the hottest days in summer ( 30 degrees) it kept my temperature regulated. Although I had to unzip it fully ( I had the pro team base later on) to keep myself cool. The great thing about the wool is that it doesn't smell like other synthetic ones so that was a big plus. On an all, for my longest and hardest day in the saddle this jeresey did the job brilliantly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice colours, good fit...but. A really nice and good looking jersey with clear colours. But...but...it 's some kind of heritage jersey, and in my opioin, those kind of jerseys should come with a quarter zip, not a full one. I'm picky about that and wasn't paying attention when I was ordering the jersey. My mistake. Will return.

What do the A and the K on the sleeves stand for? Anquetil and … ?

Asked by: erikdams
Hi, the A and K refer to Ace and King. Antequil being the Ace and the King being Poulidor. There are other details referring to this famous rivalry, such as the JAC:RAY detail on the right side of the chest.

Love the new Sportswool Rivals Jersey, but what is it like in a Tropical environment. I reside in Singapore and wondered how it would fare in the heat and humidity. Base layers are fine as we ride in the wee hours but not sure about the Wool/Pol mix.. THX

Asked by: Billtm
Hi, I'm glad you like it. The Jersey will be breathable but warmer than some of our other products such as the Super Lightweight jersey or Pro team Climbers Jersey. It is always hard to advise a precise temperature range as everyone regulates temperature differently and it will also depend on exertion levels.
