The king of winter riding

Developed to withstand the harshest conditions, the new Classic Winter Jacket is now available with Tricolour styling, in a nod to the classic jersey designs of the early 20th century.

Based on our Classic Hardshell Jacket, with fully taped seams, a water-resistant zip to keep out the worst of the weather and elastane inner cuffs to provide protection against harsh winter winds.

Cut from a breathable fabric that transfers moisture vapour away from the skin and with underarm zippers for added ventilation, the Classic Winter Jacket works hard to prevent you overheating even during the hardest efforts. Three large pockets on the rear provide ample storage and laser-cut drainage holes allow rainwater to escape during a downpour. A stowable drop tail has high-visibility detailing for rides in low light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Breathable This jacket performs spectacularly in cold weather. On a 5 degrees Celsius ride the jacket kept me warm and protect from chilly wind while only wearing a long sleeves merino base layer. There is certainly no complaints on the performance of the jacket, zip is easy to operate with gloves and pockets are big. The jacket also looks great, both colour and styling being spot on. My only complaint (hence dropping a start) is that the jacket bunches at chest level when riding. Sizing is good, if slightly big otherwise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money It's not waterproof, that's for sure. Cons: - I commute 50 mins each way and in light drizzle the jacket will become saturated from the outside in within 20 mins or so. - Price. I feel like a right mug for paying full price for this jacket. - The fit around the wrist is quite loose compared to the Hardshell jacket. - The fit around the neck is also a fair bit looser than the Hardshell. - Gets very warm on the climbs. Pros: - The underarm zippers are great and add to the jackets versatility. - The style is great I'll keep using this jacket as it looks cool and functions fairly well but for a non-waterproof jacket that offers nothing other than style, it's a waste of time and money. For me it works best worn above a merino base layer and arm warmers, or a long sleeved base layer in temps down to 6-8 degrees C. Just being honest.

I love the design this jacket - 10 / 10 - I had an original softshell, and so DNA-wise expect great things. Q: How the welds between the fabrics are done - In 3 years still water proof? or ... would I be better getting the none Special Ed Version.

Asked by: Yeti88
Hi, all the seams are stretched and then heat bonded and taped. This is very strong, durable and an improvement on the original softshell. The special edition is exactly the same as the normal edition.

About the size, If i an small for jersey and if i want to wear over a long sleeve merino base layer(small) and a long sleeve winter jersey(small), i should buy a Medium? This jacket do not have any insulation?

Asked by: Franki
Hi, please refer to the size guide as far as possible. With the information you have provided, we would suggest you try a Small, which should provide a close but comfortable fit. Should you need to exchange, we have a 90 days return period.

Would you say this is just as waterproof as the original rain jacket from Autumn/Winter 2015?

Asked by: Joshb
Hi, the Classic Winter Jacket and Special Edition Classic Winter Jacket use a Polartec softshell material which isn't as waterproof as the Rain Jacket fabric but is much more breathable and highly water resistant.

Can you fit an iPhone 6+ or 7+ in a minimal case in the small back zippered pocket?

Asked by: gfurry
Hi, you can not fit an iPhone 6+ or 7+ in the rear zippered pocket. Both phones will of course fit in the main pockets.
