Smart city tailoring in revolutionary Shadow fabric

A smart city blazer made from Rapha’s revolutionary Shadow fabric, providing sharp style combined with comprehensive weatherproofing.

Shadow fabric was the result of extensive testing by professional riders and featured a revolutionary woven material, pre-treated with water resistant coating and then shrunk 50% to increase density and prevent water penetration. The result was an almost completely waterproof, highly breathable fabric. A lighter-weight version of this fabric has been used in the Shadow Blazer, creating a tailored garment that is windproof and water resistant and will transition the wearer from bike to office in total comfort.

Taped seams, branded snap buttons to neck for multiple styling options, two zip pockets to the front, internal zipped passport pocket, internal phone pocket, zipped credit card pocket to the left sleeve. Hi-vis tab with reflective branding to the rear of the collar. Microsuede fabric has been inserted inside the neck for comfort while mesh fabric to the upper inside back and laser cut holes to the armpits aid ventilation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A sharp, impeccable lightweight 3-season blazer This is my first "shadow" garment, and living in Portland, OR where it rains daily and you really should not consider moving here :) and water resistance is key. In a nutshell this blazer is KILLER, and well worth it. The fabric is lighter weight than you'll find in a traditional sport jacket, but it still keeps the chill away. The fit of this garment is excellent, and has adequate shoulder/back room without being baggy in any way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Discreetly cool The shape is spot on. Only thing that's a bit 'different' is that it sounds like it's made of crepe paper. If you can live with that then it's a great item of clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A versatile, weather resistant, casual blazer I've only worn this over one weekend, but felt it to be the perfect casual blazer for meetings and a day/night on the town. It doesn't button, but has visible snaps, so it's inherently unique and more casual, but for my (limited) uses, it's perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've been waiting for you guys to make this! Great idea, great fabric, great features. My only request would be for an inch or two additional length. It doesn't cover much of your backside when riding.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Water Resistant and Packable The jacket has a good fit (did has the sleeves shortened) and when new looks great in an office environment. I have been caught in a one mild rainstorm and it held up well, very water resistant. The inside cellphone pocket has a unique fabric that allows touch to work even while in the pocket, neat feature. I also wore this to a trip to a warm climate and had good breathability My biggest concern revolves around the fabric. It has a high propensity to pick up markings. For example, the inside breast pocket has a button, that button while worn will mark the jacket, creating a visible circle on the outside. The other side pocket has a zipper, the same thing happens. Now I am sitting in a meeting with clients and my jacket has two white circle markings. If you hang it on a chair or even on a hanger the shoulders will pick up areas where pressed, think chalk on a black chalkboard (with low opacity). I recommend it for casual use and not office settings as it is hard to keep it looking clean due to the fabric.

What is the season (spring/fall) this blazer designed for? Does it keep warm, even off the bike?

Asked by: T_Rider
This Blazer can be worn all year round as a regular blazer but it is water resistant and windproof and it's material is a highly breathable. This is not a winter coat and will keep you as warn or as cool as dependent on what you wear underneath your blazer.

This jacket has a few creases due to packing that are making the fit less than ideal, especially in the shoulders and lower back. What is the best way to remove the creasing without ruining the materials?
