An Introduction to the Rapha Prestige
The Rapha Prestige is not a race; it’s an unsupported, unsanctioned, and unmarshalled adventure across stunning terrain, and designed to bring out the camaraderie and suffering of road riding. The rules are simple, and the course is tough. Team members must ride and finish together.
Approximately 200km with 2,000m elevation, the Rapha Prestige Takao starts in the picturesque Si Zih Wan beach resort area of the city before heading northeastwards into Taiwan’s mountain ranges. Riders will quickly find themselves in a forgotten part of the municipality where cars and even people are rarely seen. 2 major mountain passes are featured in this Prestige with several steep pitches in between. Farmlands, rock formations and gorgeous mountain vistas will take away the fatigue of climbing. A long sweeping descent and a welcomed tailwind await riders as they make their way back into the city.
Expect to be on the bike between 8-12 hours or even more. The full route will be revealed to confirmed participants 48 hours before the ride.
