Ride winter miles in comfort

Ease the burden of winter miles with the Pro Team Training Jacket, which offers the comfort of a jersey and the protection of a jacket. When you are riding hard in low temperatures, breathability and protection from the elements is essential. The Pro Team Training Jacket’s front panel uses a windproof softshell with a perforated membrane and DWR (durable water repellency) to protect you from the elements while a breathable stretch back panel that has also been treated with DWR helps regulate your temperature. A high-cut waist at the front and lower hem at the back provides a streamlined Pro Team fit. There are several reflective features on the jacket: the armband and logo on the collar, Pro Team ‘Convict Stripes’ on the rear, as well as bars on the sleeves. Be comfortable and be seen, deep into winter.

NB: The Pro Team Training Jacket is not fully waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully made Incredible. You can wear this in 20° if you want, it's so breathable. But also it will save you on ultra cold days, no problem at all. It's really a technical masterpiece. It has a very race-inspired cut which is perfect for competing or high level quick tempo rides. It keeps me warm and dry and it looks ultra sharp. Used to get free Gabbas through sponsorship, I prefer this and I had to go out of my way to pay for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifuly finished It is my first ever piece of a warm long sleeve cycle clothing. Rarely rode in winters before. It was tight and uncomfortable when first tried on - straight from the box, standing. All of a sudden it became superb in a rinding position, on the bike, even thought it still felt like a slim cut. From that moment on it always feels great. I am 174, 102 chest. Bought L size as always when I buy from Rapha. I rode in it twice - each time 1,5-2 h. First over a mesh running t-shirt, 8C, dry with heavy wind. Second over a long sleeve termal base layer: 6C, strong wind, wet + 30 min of rain. I stayed dry in the rain, I never felt even a moment of coldness. Back pockets are great. Zipped ones are in my opinion to small - not enough space for a smartphone - just perfect for the car keys and some change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive I was after a foul-weather jacket and wanted something that looked great too and this jacket does't disappoint. The fabric will shrug off just about anything, wore it in some very heavy downpours at the weekend and I remained warm and dry. It does breath well but you do have to zip down the front to let some cool air in when you're climbing. With it being 'Pro Team' the fit is a little tighter so I would recommend going up a size if you're NOT a racing snake. The detail, as you would expect from Rapha is top drawer, the offset zip is very easy to operate with gloves on and the reflective details are good. The front does seem a little high but when you're on the bike it makes sense to be where it is. If I had to change one thing, I would like the back to be lower but that is a minor gripe on an excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An essential piece of kit Having owned the earlier Pro Team Jacket, which I have now 'donated' to my wife, I thought I should treat myself to the new Pro Team Training Jacket for the coming winter road sessions. I am delighted with both the fit and function of this product. As with its predecessor, a thin base layer is all that is required to underlie the jacket when riding in anything above 5 degrees. I am sure that when the temperatures drop further, a simple switch to the winter base layer is all that will be required. I got caught in a couple of heavy showers on my most recent ride in this jacket and it provided more than adequate protection against the rain. A great piece of kit to own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket! This is a really great product - lightweight, well fitting, comfortable and amazingly warm. You wouldn't think such a thin layer of cloth could provide the insulation that it does, but Rapha has created a superb technical jacket with wind stop fabric in the front and a breathable fabric on the back. I have ridden in -5c weather with this and a base layer and it has felt warm and comfortable. No need to wear loose winter gear - the pro-team jacket is all you need. Haven't had the opportunity to test it out in warmer (spring or autumn) conditions but with the breathable fabric on the back I am confident it will perform just as well feel. Looks great too! The fitting is snug (ok, tight for some) when you put it on, but when on the bike in riding position it all clicks into place and the jacket just becomes part of your body and feels perfectly comfortable. My best Rapha purchase - very pleased with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits perfectly and comfortable too! I really love this jacket, I'm 1,74 and usually I wear M size, this time I chose an L and seems like I made the right choice 'cos it runs a little bit small. As for protection from the cold I'm very pleased with it as I was climbing for 3 hours on very cold day like -4C. I might add that as base layers I chose to wear the pro team base layer short sleev and the deep winter base layer. Furthermore, I accidentally spilled like a half of bottle of coke on the front side of the jacket and... poof, nothing , it remained perfectly clean and dry!:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for cool conditions I ride in Toronto and we are subject to wild fluctuations in weather during the spring and fall. This jacket has been great in weather between 0 and 12 degrees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A tecnical masterpiece I love this jacket, its very versatile and can be used in a variety of temperatures (5-20 degrees) with the correct base layer underneath. It regulates temperature very well, it is very breathable but at the same time blocks cold wind so effectively. It excels in fast paced rides. The material is of great quality, it is very light and thin with not much of insulation, it actually feels like you are wearing a racing jersey with the performance of a jacket..sick! Be warned this jacket is not a winter insulator, if you use it for cruising, low tempo rides or stop you get cold fast. Sizing is spot on i am 170cm 63kg and small fits just perfect, nice and tight with space for adding a layer or two underneath. Sleeve length is excellent and the offset zip is very easy to operate and feels sturdy. Haven't used it in rainy conditions yet so can't tell how waterproof it is. Overall, a great piece of cycling kit to own. I 'm thinking of grabing another one in grey! A must have.

I am xxl, will this jacket fit ok over my normal xxl shirt.

Asked by: Gw27
Hi, this jacket will fit well over your normal xx-large base layer. It is not usually worn over a jersey but would fit over a Pro Team jersey if worn in very cold conditions.

Hello, I have a past model of the PT jacket in a darker orange and wear a medium, my typical Rapha fit.  Considering a grey also as I wear these a ton.  past model is an excellent fit for me with a single base.  Would I size similar with this model?

Asked by: Jake F
Hi, the fit in this new model is the same as it has been for the past few seasons. We recommend you choose the same size.

What's the difference between this and the pro team soft shell?

Asked by: Luminor
Hi, both these jackets are intended for autumn/ winter/ spring use and have a close fit. However, the Pro Team Softshell is highly water resistant and will perform better on a wet ride whilst the Pro Team Training Jacket is more breathable, making it a natural choice on rides in cold/mild and dry/changeable conditions.

Is the picture of the model in the looks to be black and pink with the white arm band the "Black version" or the "Grey"?

Asked by: Damonm
Hi, the jacket in the hi-vis photos is the grey colour option. The arm band is grey but takes on a silvery white appearance when a light is shone on it, making you more visible to other road users.
