Race-ready wind protection

Don’t get caught out on brisk mornings or long descents with this stowable, lightweight wind jacket. Designed to allow you to work hard in the wind, a thin mesh stretch fabric on the back allows heat out, then the jacket packs down to almost nothing for easy storage when not in use. Upgraded for 2017, this year’s version is made of a new fabric which offers a close fit. More reflective elements have been included this year: piping down each rear seam and a logo on the back rear of the jacket. The two-way VISLON® zip, allowing you to unzip from the bottom for easy access to your jersey pockets, is also improved. Inspired by a jacket that Team Sky wore during races in 2015 and 2016, the Pro Team Lightweight Wind Jacket fills the gap between a gilet and a thicker jacket. Developed with the world’s fastest cyclists, this is elite racewear, for all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right Packs nice 'n small, and a good snug fit, especially on the arms which for me is where most other companies fail...flappy arms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for spring/autumn weather This has become my go-to jacket when riding in 10-15 C weather. It protects well against the wind, including on the arms, and packs just as small as a gilet. I haven't ridden it in the rain yet, but it protected me against drizzle as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two way Great for cold starts and packs down well. Two way zip is an awesome feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good windbreaker I actually haven't worn it yet on a ride. However, it is light and the fit was excellent for me. I think it will be great on windy days, especially if the temperature is in the 60's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flappy! This product is functionally great, used it for a couple of early morning rides now and it's kept me warm but not too hot and sweaty.Only downside is the size, I'm a medium in every bit of Rapha kit I've got but as I've seen a lot this year sizing seems to be off. This leads to quite a lot of material flapping around in the breeze. the only downside of a great jacket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great fit but noisy! Great fit and nicely constructed jacket but for one thing: the 'flapping' of the material! Jacket fits as it should (I am 6'0"/165lbs/39" chest and ordered a medium) but the sound emanating from the material in the shoulder area on descents is highly annoying. Great colour, love the fit and the compression-ability but the flapping/noise is a deal breaker for me.

I have the Classic Wind jacket in size M and it fits perfectly, would you advise me to buy the Pro Team Lightweight Wind Jacket in the same size or should I go up one size. I`m 1,8m, 72kg...

Asked by: jseaman
The Pro Team collection sports a race fit so it may be suitable to go a size up for this garment.

I assume this will fit over a jersey. I am large in jersey size, do I need to size up for the wind jacket or stay with large size?

Asked by: Quayside
This garment is part of the Pro Team collection so does feature a Race Fit. If you take a Large in a Pro Team Jersey then a Large size should be sufficient, however if you are a Large in any other Jersey in our collection then you may choose to take a size up.

Could this jacket provide rain protection?

Asked by: Colin Peyresourde
This garment is not designed to be water proof or water resistance. Its design is to fill the gap between a gilet and a thicker jacket and is technically designed to protect you from winds using windproof material (New for 2017) on front body, shoulders & arms. It is designed to allow you to work hard in the wind, a thin mesh stretch fabric on the back allows heat out, then the jacket packs down to almost nothing for easy storage when not in use.

Is this jacket the same as the wind jacket from previous years if it is not the same how is it different?

Asked by: Jfox
The 2017 Version of this jacket uses new windproof material on front body, shoulders & arms and also upgraded for 2017, this year’s version is made of a new fabric which offers a close fit. More reflective elements have been included this year: piping down each rear seam and a logo on the back rear of the jacket.
