For hot and humid racing and training

The Pro Team Climber’s Jersey is made for hot and humid days when riders strive to stay cool. By testing various mesh fabrics with Team Sky, Rapha’s developers have found a blend of open and eyelet meshes that maximise breathability, keep weight low, and maintain a good fit when unzipped.

The main panels of the jersey are made from an eyelet-based mesh, which gives a better structure to the jersey’s fit than an open mesh, while retaining high breathability and a low weight. Two stabilising bonding lines run up the back of the jersey to reinforce the back panel, preventing it from stretching when the pockets are full. An open mesh is used inside the pockets for ventilation, and outer section of the pockets is made from a high-stretch fabric to secure the contents of the pockets – this allows a rider to keep a jacket, gilet and warmers in the pockets for use in changeable conditions. The back of the jersey is finished with reflective details, giving an element of visibility in the long and often unlit tunnels of the mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for women! I love rapha but since I live in Texas I'm always a little disappointed at the lack of hot weather jerseys for women, especially in colors that won't cause the sun to bake you. This jersey is great. I'm 5'6" (1.67m) and 140 lbs (63kg) and the small was perfect, although just a tad short. I bought the high vis pink, which matches all the other high vis pink gear from the women's line. I wear a medium in other rapha women's jerseys. The women's souplesse jersey is a better fit than this one since it flares a bit at the hips and really smooths out everything from the tummy to the hip area, but this one is still fabulous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect hot weather training/racing jersey! Summers here can get insanely hot and humid. Temperatures in the low 90’s with near 100% humidity are typical. So I was eager to test out the pro team climber’s jersey. I actually wore it with a sleeveless pro team base layer, and it performed brilliantly. It kept me as cool as possible, and the best compliment I can give it was that I simply forgot about it while riding. The pro team fit is very streamlined and in the riding position it is perfect. I wondered about the durability of such an airy jersey, but it has been through dozens of washes (cold wash in a mesh bag and hung to dry) and there is not a single pull in the fabric. This was the jersey I would reach for during the past summer, and I found myself washing it as soon as I was back from my ride, anticipating its use the next day. I definitely plan to acquire a second (possibly third!) one!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from paper summer jersey... I bought this jersey 2 weeks ago. After 600km I can say: POSITIVE - great fit (176cm, 74kg, chest 40 - M), great in rides 20 - 33 Celsus. NEGATIVE - overpriced ( even in the bundle with bibs), durability seams to be on the weak side !!! - I have got two small holes in the middle back pocket mesh - only after 2 wash cycles and very gently care...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Summer jersey Looking forward to 100 degree days! This jersey is super thin, light and airy. Love the Pro Team fit. Pockets don't sag even when loaded and the jersey remains stable when fully unzipped. Fit notes: 5'11" 152-154lbs. 39" chest, 31" waist, size small fits. Color notes: Rapha calls this light blue. It's green. Kinda like celeste, which is green. In all those tests where a number or letter is made up of circles of varying colors in a field of other circles of different colors, I always show zero color blindness. This jersey is green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay cool in the summer. I opted to buy the hi-viz "coral" jersey which is much brighter than it looks on the web. If youre slightly safety conscious or want to stand out you can see it a mile off. The quality and finish combined with the choice of materials feels wonderful when you push the tempo whatever the gradient. You can feel the breeze cooling as you ride. The glasses wipe is a nice touch. Can't believe no one thought of it before. Just a shame the summer has gone now and I'll have to wait until next year to wear it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hot weather jersey I've ever used I live in the midwest of the United States, where it's very hot and humid. I struggle to find jerseys that are comfortable at the high tempatures here. The Rapha Climbers Jersey is the best I've found to deal with the high heat and humitity. It's increadibly comfortable, fits perfectly, and is as light as possible. Note on size. The size of this jersey is perfect for me except that the zipper is about a half inch shorter than what I'd like. It's great when I'm in the riding position, but when I stand and walk around there is a chance that it will ride up showing my stomach. Not a deal breaker because it fits so well otherwise, but if I had to change anything, this would be it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More versatile thank I expected I was visiting Sacramento from Scotland so knowing sports wool may be a tough warm, I purchased this lightweight jersey. Super comfy, lovely fabric, great features... Back home in Autumn I am wearing it under a rain jacket on wet but warmer days and avoiding the boil in the bag syndrome of being too hot below the rain cape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lightweight training and racing jersey I wanted a Pro Team fit oriented jersey for warm weather. I have some SL weight jerseys but wanted a higher-end design for training, racing, or whatever. This jersey fits the bill for sure. The fit is close and feels like it's not even on. Once in the riding position it goes away and even feels great w/ a PT base under it and PT gilet over. Really a perfect lightweight racing jersey and i'm hard to please. Plenty of mesh on sides and back and front material is a small grid stretch. I like this compared to training jersey as the pockets feel and hold weight better, breathes better for me, transfers moisture better, feel like nothing. Maybe the only issue is it's so light, i'm not sure how deep it will go. Also, cold black is a great technology and may consider the newer dark grey color too!

Does this jersey come with UV protection?

Asked by: Gabriel Au Yong
Hi, this jersey will provide some protection from the sun, but does not have a specific SPF rating.

this is my favorite jersey from Rapha. I really like the fabric. Do any other jerseys use this fabric with a similar fit?

Asked by: mickknit
Hi, we don't make another jersey with the same fabric. The rest of the Pro Team range has the same, close fit, but the most similar jersey would be the Super Lightweight Jersey. This has a fit just slightly more relaxed than the Pro Team Climbers Jersey and is made for similarly warm conditions.

Is the Pro Team Climber jersey only for +30 degrees celsius? I live in Denmark and usually ride in 15-25 degrees celsius.

Asked by: Kasper Obel
Hi, as we all regulate temperature differently it is hard to advise on the temperature range for individuals and differing exertion levels will also affect it's properties. This jersey is meant for hot and humid conditions, depending on how you regulate your temperature it may be suitable for the warmer Denmark weather.

Please compare fit to super lightweight jersey (I.e. Large = Large?).  Thank you

Asked by: NVT1
Hi, the fit of the Super Lightweight and Pro Team Climbers Jersey is similar. Both are close fitting. The pro team is marginally closer fitting but we would recommend you choose the same size in both. As always we do have a 90 day returns policy if needed.

What type of zipper is used here? It seems different... and what is the purpose of the different zipper design?

Asked by: cooi
Hi, the Pro Team Climbers Jersey uses the same zip as our other jerseys.

Hi, how good does the Pro Climber Jersey breathe compared to the Super Lightweight Jersey? And how are they compared to the Sky Mesh Jersey? How is the sizing for them both compared to the Mesh Jersey?

Asked by: Pegoretti
Hi, both jerseys are highly breathable. The main difference is the fit. The pro climbers jersey has a fit in line with the rest of pro team range, meaning it has a race ready fit. The pro climbers jersey took what we learnt from the Sky mesh jersey and attempted to refine and improve that concept.

Is it just the photography, or is the front hem shorter/higher/more angled on the pink and black versions, the light blue front hem looks more like the old pro team jersey.  please bring the old pro team jersey back thanks, it was perfect for me.

Asked by: bobnotbob
Hi, the Pro Team Climber's Jerseys will all have the same front hem length.

How does this compare to the Aero Colorburn Jersey in terms of aerodynamics?  (Or, vice versa: how does the Aero Jersey do in high temperatures?)  I am looking for an aero jersey, but I tend to heat up quite quickly and therefore am drawn to this one.

Asked by: EyetriZ
Hi, as we all regulate temperatures in different ways it can be hard to categorically say which exact temperatures garments will perform best in. Both jerseys are made to deal with racing and training at high intensity levels, with the Climber's Jersey designed with hot and humid racing and training in mind.
