Cut through the wind and hit new speeds

Engineered for optimal aerodynamic performance, the latest Pro Team Aerosuit is the quickest, most functional race garment available. Featuring significant developments from its original incarnation, this new version of the Aerosuit has been extensively wind-tunnel tested by pro cyclists from Team Sky, then raced at the highest level - Team Sky’s Elia Viviani debuted it to a stunning victory on the first road stage of the 2015 Giro d’Italia. The Aerosuit’s drag has been minimised through offset seam-positioning, a minimal number of pattern pieces, and a close-fit. Longer sleeves made of a textured fabric break up the airflow where the arms encounter wind resistance, in turn enabling more efficient motion. The suit’s front and back fabric is smooth and dense, helping to improve airflow while retaining a close fit. A new collar offers a more flattering neckline than traditionally deep-cut skinsuits, while the luxury chamois pad ensures that you stay comfortable even when riding full gas. This is pro-grade racewear, for everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You might need to downsize Great quality, as always with Rapha. The fit however is on the bigger side. I (6'1''; 176lbs) usually wear size large and have a tight fit for my pro team aero jersey + pro team lightweight bib shorts. However, with the pro team aerosuit, I find myself quite loose.. especially around the crutch and downwards. Unfortunately I only really realized this after going out for a ride... Therefore I did not get the chance to exchange it (they were also out of stock for size medium). A little disappointing, because I have other rapha bib shorts all size large and they fit nice and tight!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good functional suit Bought approx 6wks ago (summer 2015), worn several times at differemt temperatures. Paired with the right base layer you can wear from 10degrees up Top and shorts in size M great fit, only niggle is lack of elastic at front between top and bottom. It sits off the skin when standing so in TT position sags more. Perhaps small would fit me better round waist but shorts would then be too small. I'm 6ft 2 approx 75.5kgs Otherwise pockets are good size for gels, mobile & tools if worn for training rides, which I assume most would be wearing for 4 stars, good product just a shame about the waist. This is only niggle ever had with any Rapha product, I own many

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable yet skin-tight I had mixed feelings when I first looked over the skinsuit. I prefer the zipper style from the previous year's pro team suit, it had more give to the upper part of the suit. It is a bit difficult to get this year's suit on, especially getting over the shoulders. But that's really my only gripe. The fabric is soft, thin, and breathes unbelievably well. I like the half length sleeves. The pad is comfortable. I'm 5'10" and ~155lbs with a 32" waist, size medium is perfect for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better I have used the new suit and there are a couple of issues, firstly the padding is not that comfortable, this may get better with wear or maybe some softening cream on it , time will tell on this one and secondly whilst I appreciate it needs to be a close fit I cannot get the suit on without the help of my wife. My shoulders are big but not huge and at 1.85mtrs tall, 42" chest 32" waist and 79kg I'm not what you would call large. Maybe a little longer zipper or some expansion panels of some sort would be good. When it's on it is a tight fit but that's fine. I am a large. Hope this helps.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice suit Rating should have been 5 stars had I bought the right size. I bought this, and recommended a friend to buy the same before I received the item. Material is perfect, and the design is great. However, I feel that it should be worn snug and fit. Sizing is a little off, order one size smaller than the sizing chart if you prefer tight fitting, after all it's an aerosuit. My friend who ordered based on the sizing chart also felt he should have ordered one size down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality as always Quality - outstanding. function - second to none in terms of stretch during cycling and wicking. Cut - perfect with full upper arm length sleeves. Sizing - as others have found depending on body shape I guess these generally suit someone with larger legs and smaller torso / upper body. I am more proportioned and have found the upper body fits well but the shorts are slightly loose. They would benefit from the bib short over shoulder straps to keep them up but these are absent on an all in one suit. Having said that I am happy with the fit on bike.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful I bought this with the belief it would be as great as the rest of the pro team range. The fit is terrible, the front join between the jersey and the shorts gape making this suit as aero as a parachute ! The worse feature of this suit that trumps is inefficient aero qualifies is the chamois ! One ride less than race distance and it cut the nether regions in two . This is not the usual high quality chamois as all the pro team kit. It has a decidedly dodgie stitched seam right through the centre of the pad . Needless to say this item was happily accepted back as a return and replaced with the newer version which is exactly what one expects of a pro team aero race speedsuit made by Rapha

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First impression of the Aerosuit I am 5'4" at 118Lbs, This is the first time I bought Rapha product. The upper half fits very well as the other Rapha Jersey came with the same order. The lower half is average, I expect more compression and a tougher material. Love the subtle design, without flashy colors and commercials. The suit is very light with good ventilation under warm humid weather. Chamois padding is comfortable during my first trial two hours ride. Noticed a design for call of nature, however I don't think its useful for my riding mode, it does have negative impact on the fit of lower half.

Hi Rapha, I always order medium in Rapha in Pro jerseys, jackets but I ordered a Aero Pro jersey and a had to change it for a large. What would you recommend with the Aero suit medium or large Thanks Luke.

Asked by: OnlyDixie
Hi, this particular Aerosuit has a cut in line with the previous Pro Team Jerseys so we would recommend you choose a medium. The new Aerosuit has a cut in line with the Pro Team Aero Jersey so you would need a large in this product.

Hi Rapha!  What is the best approach for putting on the aero suit?  One arm at a time or both simultaneously?  Feels tight with getting it on and I don't want to risk ripping it in any way.

Asked by: PersianNick
Hi, it really depends on your own body shape and personal preference. Some people find it easiest to do one arm at a time and some both at the same time. If you are struggling it can be helpful to have someone help you as this product is designed to have a very close fit.

Why not make a triathlon-specific version of the aerosuit?  I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Asked by: therealjackie27
Hi, at the moment we understand cycling well enough to make market leading products. The same can't be said for triathlon.

Does the back pocked have a race radio port hole? that you can run a headphone cable through. One of my favorite features of my Pro Team jersey.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, there is no race radio port hole.

Hi, the pro team jerseys used to have UV protection inbuilt. Does the aero suit have that? Thx

Asked by: Stueys
Hi, the main body of the Aerosuit, including the legs, will provide some protection from the sun. The arms are made of a mesh material and so we would recommend applying sun scream to your arms and shoulders.

I currently have a large classic jersey which is a little on the big side and I am looking at an aerosuit what size would you recommend ?

Asked by: Steve N
Hi, the Classic Jersey has a much more relaxed fit than the Aerosuit. We would normally recommend going up one size from a Classic Jersey but an Aerosuit should be figure hugging to experience its benefit. If your current Jersey is only a little big we would still suggest you size up to XL. I hope all that information helps inform your decision. We do have a 90 day returns policy if needed.
