Streamlined racing jersey fit for the pros

The Pro Team Aero Jersey is the fastest jersey Rapha has ever made. Redesigned for 2016, this garment was developed using wind-tunnel sessions with professional riders from Team Sky and then ridden by them – often to victory – at the world’s greatest races. As durable and functional as it is fast, the jersey distills the insight gained in testing and pro competition to create a supremely aerodynamic product. The suit’s front and back fabric is smooth and dense to help improve airflow, while new longer sleeves made of a textured fabric create ‘turbulent flow’. This breaks up the air where the arms encounter wind resistance, thus enabling more efficient motion. Offset seam-positioning and a minimal number of pattern pieces reduce drag further, as does a close fit. A performance-engineered jersey for uncompromising riders.

NB: The sleeves of the Pro Team Aero Jersey are tighter than previous versions of the jersey due to the reduced stretch of the aerodynamic fabric.

  • High-stretch, smooth performance fabric on body
  • Aero-optimised mesh-texture sleeves enable more efficient motion
  • Aggressive, race-ready Pro Team cut
  • Close-cut ergonomic collar
  • Offset seams placed at back of jersey to reduce drag
  • Reflective Pro Team ‘convict stripes’ on front left and rear right
  • VISLON® zip (quick running moulded plastic teeth)
  • Zip lock to prevent jersey opening while riding
  • Three rear pockets with bonded-on reinforced panels
  • Mesh inner on rear pockets for improved ventilation
  • Rapha logo printed on left arm
  • Elasticated rear bottom hem for snug fit

  • 86% polyester
  • 14% Elastane

  • Machine wash cool: 30C
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Do not iron
  • Do not bleach
  • Drip dry in shade
  • Do not dry clean

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Far better than V1 This jersey fits much better than last seasons Aero jersey. Back length runs much more true to size, pockets are higher on back than last version and keep there structure a lot better also. There is far less stretch in arms, Size Small can stretch to 27.5cm comfortably incase you have more muscle pipes than the regular cyclist. Last year I sized down to XS with this product and there Aerosuit but with this years version it looks like I can confidently buy my true Pro Team size. The only downer is its not as ventilated as last years model but hey they sell a Climbers Jersey if Ventilation is your main concern. But this is a good looking jersey on!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Bought A Second One To be honest I can't vouch for the aero qualities. However, the fit is really good and the jersey is immediately forgotten about when riding - always a good sign. The fit is very aggressive as expected so on the down side there is nowhere to hide but on the plus side it's an extra incentive to stay off the pies. The colour is lairy enough that on a recent ride on a fast A-road it felt like I was getting more space from passing cars than usual. The zip feels a little insubstantial but it's too early to tell. But I like it enough to have then bough the green version as well, and my neighbour saw me in the coral version and bought one too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great. Doesn't breathe. The jersey looks fantastic and fits perfectly. Sleeve length and sleeve fabric is excellent. BUT.... the front and rear panel fabric just doesn't breathe, like... at all. After 20 minutes at a moderate intensity, moisture pools underneath and then soaks through, leaving unsightly sweat patches all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Race cut aero jersey with tight sleeves Bought it two weeks ago and I'm extremely happy with the purchase. I'm 179cm / 75kg and went for a medium sized jersey. Jersey seems to be of higher quality. Very tight fit and aero. I went for the grey one and it looks better in the flesh than on the photos. Note that the sleeves are not stretchy and if you got some biceps and have wide shoulders you might have to spend a few extra seconds putting the jersey on. If anything can be improved I'd go for slightly more stretchy material with that sort of rubber sleeve end that keeps the sleeves in the same place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best jersey Rapha have produced Pretty much the perfect garment. Cut to perfection (assuming the pro team fit suits your figure), this is the first jersey I've owned where every aspect fits me to perfection. The construction feels slightly more robust than the first version of the aero jersey and the pockets are large enough to hold all the usual stuff, including a gilet. I have seen mention of the arm sizing - I have climbers arms (though sadly not legs) so the tighter fit suits me well. At 6'1" and a 34" waist, a size L was spot on. If I have one comment I would have preferred an internal zipped pocket. I know this is an aero jersey, but the fit is so good I wear it instead of my regular pro team jersey and somewhere to store the car key safely would be great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jersey I have brought this Pro Team Aero Jersey 2 pieces, first order is (M) size and notice sleeve slightly tight so I have make a purchase again.this time I buy the (L) size...sleeve perfectly ok but not the chest, abit loose unlike M the chest is great. My 3rd purchase Pro Team Climber's jersey. I check the size guide is same as the pro team aero jersey chart so I get the size (L) feel sad after receive my order. this model (L) size sleeve and chest is slightly biggest...: ( With my height (176cm) Weight (70kg) Chest (92cm) Shoulder (43cm) What actual size I shall get for rapha products? The most happy I buy the 4th piece Pro team bibs shorts. ...very nice and fitting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Runs small, like really small.. I purchased this jersey hoping for the best, but received the worst. This jersey runs super small and pray to cycling Jesus that you've never lifted a weight in your life. Your arms will not fit inside the uber tight non stretching material sleeves. The sleeves also go down to your forearm almost, so yay to another tan line that will show when wearing normal arm length shirts.. Good idea on Rapha's part, but poorly executed. I have skinny racer friends that say this jersey is too small.. I mean skinny dudes fit into everything, and when they complain of small sizing you know there's some validity too it. I returned the jersey and will be sticking with the typical guns (Classic jersey) going forward.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice but not for me. Overall, the aero jersey is another high quality offering from Rapha. For reference I am 5'9 and 145 pounds and purchased the small. I love the sleeve length but it has a few quirks so I sent it back for a different jersey. The fit is tighter than the pro team jersey and it felt constricting...not comfortable for a long ride. The other slight issue is the zipper. With the tight jersey, I felt like the zipper was not firm enough to stay closed when not zipper to the top. The zipper has larger teeth than the other Rapha jerseys which may contribute to the poor hold.

Hi, I've recently purchased a core jersey, it's great though the fit is a bit off for me. I'm a bit fat but losing weight through cycling and soon the XL core jersey will be too big. I'm finding the length to be really short too, is the aero any longer?

Asked by: Karl123488
Hi, the Pro Team Aero Jersey has a close, race ready fit, but the front is slightly longer than the Core Jersey. Both are designed for use with bib shorts.

I have xl in club jersey. Should I size up for the aero jersey?

Asked by: Jason27
Hi. if you wear an x-large in the club jersey you may wish to size up for the Pro Team Aero Jersey. This jersey does have a close, race ready fit as opposed to the relaxed Club Jersey cut.

Hi, I'm 5'10-11 in height and weigh 80-84 kg with a waist of 33 in. I do not really have a "climber" body. According to the size chart I should get a L but a lot of people have advised me to size up to XL. Should I purchase a L or XL? Thanks

Asked by: mjaime23
Hi, It is difficult to give you an accurate estimate without your chest, back or arm length. Based on the information you gave me, we would recommend you try a large. If you have particularly large arms, we would suggest an x-large. As always we do have a free 90 day returns policy if needed.

Hi, does the girth of the arms change between the sizes (M and S in particular)? I want to downsize from M to S but fear I'll struggle with the arms of they are any narrower.

Asked by: Tango
Hi, the sleeves will be slightly tighter if you go down in size. However, the material does offer a bit of stretch. We suggest you try the smaller size and use our free return service if the fit is not right for you.
