Begin the incredible journey, riding from the Somerset House in central London, through the Garden of England to reach the train for France. We'll reach Reims for the night
Rise early for a great ride through Northern France. An area rich in history, today is the day to begin the real camaraderie with your fellow riders.
A big day in the saddle today as we make our way south. Skirting the Natural Park of Morvan. The first half of the day features the Yvonne valley before traversing across in to the Saone et Loire region and arriving into Parray - a beautiful small town in an area dominated by agriculture and punctuated by chateaux.
Tracing the Loire valley for much of the morning today, so that many of the kilometres will roll by quickly! As we reach the Département du Rhône a test awaits in the form of the Col du Pilon (727m) before descending and crossing the Rhône near Anse. Riders of the 6 day option will join us at the hotel following their arrival to Lyon.
Lyon Saint Exupéry
The route joins the River Rhône today at Vienne, but the start of the day brings some leg stretchers in to the Isère region, with quiet roads bordered by forests and agriculture. The Rhône in Vendange season will be humming to the sounds of grapes pickers and tractors so we'll enjoy a glass of Côtes du Rhône in the valley at the border of the Drome and Ardèche.
Tournon sur Rhône
A spectacular morning as we ride in the Vercors. Moving south to the Col du Pas de Lauzun (504m) and Col de la Sausse (790m) will test the legs before we reach Vaison La Romaine near the Drôme/Vaucluse border our destination for the day.
Vaison la Romaine
An absolute highlight of the journey today - The Giant of Provence, Le Mont Ventoux awaits. Ascending from Malaucène to the sky before an exhilarating descent to Sault this is one mountain you'll never forget.
A mountainous day, worthy of a stage of the Tour de France! These incredible roads are surely to test the legs and wow the eyes. The Col du Font Belle and Col du Corobin are hors catégorie and the rock formations of the Col des Leques will soften any leg pain! You'll be rewarded with the magnificent descents and the Chateau de Taulane near Castellane to finish the day.
Much of today's route is downhill as we head to the Côte d'Azur. Riding through the quiet of the arrière-pays, there is much to experience as we pass some spectacular scenery including the Clue Saint Auban, before arriving to the Var river valley.
Join the merry band as we ride to Monaco. The morning is a ride into the hills just north of Nice, used in the finale of Paris-Nice. Lunch at Nice Port and the Café du Cycliste before a coastal ride to Monaco and arrival to the Yatch show. Revel in the delight of the Côte d'Azur and appreciate the kilometres already travelled.
The combination of the trip design (routes, hotels, dinners, etc), the service and the Rapha touch (gear, bikes, branding, etc) all made this trip so special.

The Rapha experience was first rate from start to finish.
— Bespoke Trip rider - 2015
Absolutely. We have created dream trips for families, groups of friends, honeymooners, business associates and corporate clients. Everything is possible, but every bespoke trip is unique, so it’s best we talk you through it from the earliest stage.
All the trips advertised on our website are open to the general public, though we encourage friends, family members and clubmates to come in groups – it makes the experience even more fun and rewarding. If you want a private trip on your own dates, we will arrange one for you through our Bespoke service. This can be on an existing itinerary or to a route that you – or we – create. We usually need seven customers on bespoke trips.
