A long-sleeve layering system in a single garment

Inspired by the Rapha Brevet credo of ‘pack light, travel far’, the multi-functional Brevet Long Sleeve Windblock Jersey fuses the all-day performance of a merino jersey, with the wind-protection of a gilet.

Warm and insulating, an overlaid panel made from the fabric of the Rapha Brevet Gilet has been stitched onto the front of the jersey and the arms, doing away with the need for a windbreaker or a base layer because the panel layers over the jersey fabric. With reflective and hi-vis Brevet stripes on the front and back, and a total of five pockets, this is a versatile piece with ample storage for food and tools. Paired with its ability to be washed and dried overnight, this makes the Brevet Long Sleeve Windblock Jersey the perfect companion for multi-day adventures by bike.

FEATURES

  • Wind-resistant polyester panels stitched to front of the jersey and arms for protection on chilly descents

  • Two zipped valuables pockets on front of jersey for storage of essentials
  • Triple rear cargo pocket for easy-access storage
  • Concealed zip compartment on rear for safe storage of small items

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A New Favorite Couple rides into this and it's one of my favorites already. Great for cooler night rides or blustery days. Fits great and wears very comfortable. Wind block is solid and it's warm, but not overly so. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True 3 seasons jersey I bought this jersey in XS whereas I typically wear S sized Pro Team jerseys. Size is perfect. I have used the Brevet Windblock Longsleeve now in a variety of temperatures between 3 and 16 degrees centigrade, it's a matter of choosing the right base layer (or none) and then you have a very flexible piece of kit. Beautifully finished and comfortable on the skin. My new go-to long sleeve jersey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome wind protection! I have had this jersey now for almost a month. As the fall season gets darker, windier and colder, It had become a go-to layer for me. The fit is true. I am 5'10 and weigh 175 lbs, in good shape. I bought the size large and it fits me snugly, as I expected. It fits very well under my Pro Team Soft Shell Jacket. They share the same cut. With a base layer and the jersey and ss jacket, I am comfortable in temps in the 40 -55 degree range with high wind. The Brevet Windblock jersey is light, moves easily and features effective high vis stripes, petfect for the early darkness that fall brings. Owning this for about a month, and putting it through it's paces with wind and temperature together, I highly recommend this jersey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have piece of kit One of the best gifts I have been given! The jersey fits really well, has reflective detail and offers great temperature when combined with a long sleeved base layer. I was not sure how much I would need this over say a jersey with arm warmers or a base layer with the Pro Team Shell but the long sleeve Brevet Windblock is simply perfect for a cool autumnal morning ride. The two front zip pockets seem a little superfluous (I can't see me using them) but they don't detract from the fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully made jersey thats going to be a staple I've had a chance to wear this a few times now in a few conditions, its a great fit, looks superb and it just feels really well made. It's a useful level of warmth for a British rider, it's not a replacement for a winter jacket, but with a few layers underneath I've worn it close to freezing, on the flip side on a spring day I expect to be able to keep this on in any bursts of unexpected sunshine and not overheat. Negatives, possibly not as windproof as I thought, but as mentioned its not a replacement for a proper jacket in bad weather. Really enjoying this jersey!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spring must have Bought this as soon as it came out and was surprised how then the back is, that said the double layer windblock on the front/arms works well. I think it'll be to thin when the cold really comes but we shall wait and see. Fully expect this to become my go to jacket for spring. Another quality piece of kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but could be even better This fits well and looks great. The windblock front does effectively block the wind so it should work well down into mid single figures with the right base layer underneath. However, I have got clammier than I would have with my old short sleeve brevet jersey paid with arm warmers and a gilet over a long sleeve base layer. I also really miss the chest pocket that my old short sleeve brevet has - the two small from pockets on this seems bit pointless - if you put something in them, they spoil the line of the jersey. So, maybe 8 out of 10 but could be even better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, comfort and protection Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. Perfect for Autumn rides. No need for base layer or gilet as wind protection is good and the top is warm. Provides good visibility in low light. I'm 6'2" and 38" chest - the medium is perfect fit.

I'm looking to ride in temps of 20-25 F. Would the combo of Rapha Deep Winter base layer and this brevet long sleeve wind block jersey be enough to ride in that temp range?

Asked by: Dave M
Hi Dave, in those temperatures, you want an additional outer layer to combine with the Deep Winter Base Layer and Brevet Windblock Jersey, possibly a Brevet Insulated Jacket.

I have an insulated brevet gilet. Would it be overkill to pair it with this jacket?

Asked by: Yeti88
Hi, this jersey could certainly be paired with a Brevet Insulated Gilet in cold conditions.

Hi I have just purchased this jersey size large but not sure if its too big or not. Is it supposed to be snug or slightly loose I'm a large in the classic 2 which fits perfect I've got two short sleeve brevet which I've got in medium these are very snug.

Asked by: Smiffy111
Hi, there is always a degree of personal preference but all our jerseys should fit snugly. Due to the windblock lining, this jersey does come up slightly larger than other jerseys in the Brevet range.

Hi I have one of your softshell base layers, would combining this with this jersey keep me warm on all but the coldest days in the warmish but wet Devon winter?

Asked by: Jellylegs
Hi, wearing those two items together would likely keep you warm down to around 5/6 degrees celsius in the wet. You would want another base layer for days when it is not raining.

Paired with a base layer, in which temperature range can this jersey be worn? Will it be fine up to 0°C if paired with a regular base layer?

Asked by: Hmbt
Hi, as we all regulate temperature differently it is hard to advise on the temperature range for individuals and differing exertion levels will also affect it's properties. The Long Sleeve Brevet Windblock Jersey with a base layer underneath should be suitable for riding in a range of conditions. For cooler temperatures a merino or winter base layer may be more preferable.

Asked by: 5sgj
