We’ve been overwhelmed with the latest edition of the Festive 500. At the last count it was estimated that almost 17,000 people took part and over 4,500 riders completed the challenge. This amounts to a collective kilometre count somewhere in the region of 4.4 million. What's the quickest route to completing the Festive 500? Ride it with your friends of course. There is one other option, but that involves riding day and night through potentially frozen conditions, and we do not necessarily recommend that. Christmas is, amongst other things, a season for celebrating so saddle up in solidarity and ring in the new year with a group ride or two.
Hosted on the National Championship course from 2009, 2010 the course features a flyover, a classic set of stairs and surely mud galore. After racing, athletes can enjoy all that Bend has to offer in the classic Old Mill District with great food, beer, shopping and superb accommodation.
Give your legs the greatest gift this Christmas and ride 500km between December 24th and December 31st.

On Friday November 16th, Rapha hosted a party to mark the launch of its new ‘parklet’, the first of its kind in San Francisco’s Marina District. Designed in collaboration with Rebar, the San Francisco design firm credited with the creating the parklet concept, the Rapha parklet is located directly outside the Rapha Cycle Club.
The launch attracted quite a crowd, including pro riders Ted King and Levi Leipheimer, and Bay Area cycling legend Gary Fisher also dropped by to say hello. While the rain kept the party inside the store, the new parklet sparkled in the night lights nonetheless. And the recent opening at the Club of Garret Chow’s All Chips On The Table show, made for a festive Friday night.
All Chips on the Table - Garrett Chow's art show is alive and well at the Rapha Cycle Club San Francisco. Since its opening a few weeks ago it has become one of the most talked about art/bicycle/design shows in the San Francisco area. The show itself is something to behold — to see the creative process come to life in this fashion is remarkable in and of itself. The other interesting thing about the project is the great acclaim that it has received from the cycling community and press in and around the San Francisco area.
