Highly technical cycling gloves for cold and wet conditions

The Deep Winter Gloves are made from innovative technical fabrics and constructed for excellent protection without compromising control. The outer shell uses a windproof, stretch nylon with a Durable Water Repellent treatment, which is then filled with Primaloft insulation®. A waterproof and breathable OutDry® membrane is then bonded to the shape of the shell to give an excellent fit (as opposed to the ‘floating’ liners used in many gloves) and finished with an insulating tricot lining against the skin.

The inside of the palm features a different Primaloft® insulation, originally created for snowsports and treated with a resin so it won’t slip against your skin when gripping the bars. Rapha’s trademark military-grade padding also features in key wear areas.

Overlayed onto the palm is an outer face providing abrasion resistance - on the black gloves this is made from Pittards leather and on hi-vis pink a synthetic suede overlay is used. Elasticated cuffs, with a velcro closure are designed to fit snugly around a jacket sleeve. The gloves also feature reflective stripes and logos, as well as wipes on both thumbs.

Please note: If washing these gloves, once dried, glove balm should be applied to the leather panels on the palms to keep them supple. The Deep Winter Gloves are part of the Rapha Glove System and are designed to be worn with the Merino Liners and/or the Overmitts as required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept My Hands Toasty I bought these a few weeks ago, I generally struggle with cold hands. I have been using them this January and so far they have kept my hands warm. Took a while to decide on sizing, in the end I bought XS using the paper guide, these fit well with an inner liner or without

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderfully worm hands on the coldest of days Love these gloves and have been recommending to the club. Normally I wear Rapha Medium gloves, but decided to go Large so 1, I can use liners (more to keep the inside of the gloves clean if filling with grubby winter punctures) and 2, making the easy and quick to pull on. I have used on three rides, each between -2 to +4 degrees and hands were cozy. I went for black so not to show the dirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter gloves! These are such a cozy glove for cold weather but the main thing is the fit. The sizing chart provided works perfect for me. Have tried to purchase other gloves and always am disappointed with the fit after measuring by circumference. My hands are long and the XLs fit great with room for a thin liner if needed. Only ridden twice with them in high 20s, and low 30s and they're great. Probably too warm for anything higher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and dry hands! I have worn these a number of times now from -2 to 7 degrees and haven't needed to use the merino liners that I also purchased. They keep my hands warm and dry which is the main requirement, plus I opted for the bright pink so that my hands are visible when indicating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have on cold winter rides! They seem quite large and bulky when you put them on for the first time, but they are so nice when you ride! You forget that you are wearing them. Fingers always nice and toasty.

Hi, Can these gloves be machine washed? The info says not to do everything except this. If so, what temperature? Thanks.

Asked by: Cl246
Hi, these gloves can be machine washed. Please do so at 30 degrees Celsius, using non-bio detergent. Let the gloves air dry. Do not place on a radiator or in a tumble dryer.

Is the shell fabric for both the colors the same material? The pink looks quite translucent while the black feels more durable. Is that so? Thanks.

Asked by: Ankurrius
Hi, the shell fabric used is identical in both colourways.

Hi, I take it Pittards leather would not be vegan, correct? Thanks

Is the hand length for the total length of the glove or is the cuff in addition? I am 18cm wrist to finget-tip but I'd like another 7cm of cuff. Is the knuckle measurement the measurement of my knuckles or of the liner in the glove at that point?

Asked by: Aileen
Hi, the cuff is in addition to the hand length, although this is probably slightly less than 7cm. The knuckle measurement is the measurement of your knuckles.

Hi. Do they work with smartphone touch screen ?

Asked by: mmSpecilaized
Hi, unfortunately the amount of insulation needed for these gloves to provide adequate warmth, means they do not work with smartphone touch screens.

How do I take my hand length measurements? For the deep winter glove

Asked by: Jerrybb
Hi, please use either the print off size chart or use a tape measure to take your knuckle and hand length measurements. The hand length measurement is from your wrist to the end of your middle finger.

Is it essential to wear the merino liner with this glove?

Asked by: Jakehirst
Hi, you do not need to wear the Merino Liner with this glove. They are very comfortable with or without a liner. You would wear a liner in extremely cold conditions.
