Dan Langlois

Dan Langlois, or Action (Action Dan) as indicated by a tattoo on his arm, is 31 years old and was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. At the time this was written, Dan was in transition between somewhere in Florida and his new home in Philadelphia. His favorite phenomenon is tectonic movement and he’s motivated to be a good person by what he feels was his sub-optimal childhood. He started riding bicycles in order to get somewhere and because nothing else compares. He has a mom, a dad, a sister, a dog and a girlfriend.
Story telling is part of Dan's make-up and he's proud of even his lowest moments, from riding freight trains across the country and back, playing his first rock show to his first win at a bike race. So, in addition to the chance to skip horrible industrial park crits and the opportunity to ride with like-minded folks who are fast but fun too, he sees the Continental as way to share. He likes to know where he’s been and likes telling other people where he’s going. Like the mountains in New England he loves so much, the people, the old barns, the farm stands, the trees and the rivers.
Dan believes in style because he knows when you look good, and when you think you look good you will succeed. He is a capable and tenacious rider with a disarming smile. At 5’8” and built like a cyclist he is surprisingly intimidating, not in the uncomfortable or fear producing sense. He’s just a bit, I don’t know, kind but dangerous like you’d imagine a dolphin would be.

"The first time I pushed myself to the point of throwing-up, I was really proud that I could bypass all instinct to ease up or stop. It sounds silly, but I was just getting started down this road of riding and racing and suddenly I had a passed this test. I could now legitimately keep company with all those hard riders who regularly endure abuse and suffering."
