Colombian Super-Lightweight Jersey

DUE IN STOCK MID MAY. A tribute to the combative Colombian riders of the 1980s, this high-performance cycling jersey has been developed for the hottest, most humid conditions. It is made from three proprietary technical fabrics developed exclusively for Rapha.

Performance cycling jersey for very hot conditions

This special edition of the Super-Lightweight Jersey pays homage to the Colombian riders who battled into the pro peloton in the 1980s. The design is based on the Café de Colombia jerseys of the period and the side panels carry the motif ‘Escarabajo’ or beetle, the colloquial term used to describe the industrious climbing spirit of the likes of Luis Herrera and Fabio Parra.

The trim features the colours of the Colombian flag: red symbolises the Colombian people’s struggle for independence; blue, the sea; and yellow, the sun. The back of the jersey has a commemorative Escarabajo logo - a detail repeated on the right arm.

Please note: $5 from each jersey will go to the Rigoberto Urán Cycling Club in Urrao, which gives impoverished Colombian children the opportunity to ride and race bikes.
