Coffee and Cognac all round

Friday 3rd June 2011 saw the Mobile Cycle Club 'up north' catering to an intrepid bunch of night cyclists looping through a route in the Pennines. It was an amazing night which everyone enjoyed.
Before dawn the skyline began to glow red as we were crossing over the moorland top of the Cat & Fiddle (first ascent). We also got a great sunrise as we climbed out of a still and idyllic Miller's Dale.
My favourite sight though was an owl which was scanning and hovering over the moor, hunting for it's breakfast, as we climbed back over the Cat & Fiddle with the new day's sun on our backs.

Thanks, very much Konrad and others for organising this. Really enjoyed the ride and the whole experience and very impressed with the whole Rapha service. It's great to ride through familiar country but at night where it all seems so different. Very peaceful, roads to ourselves and being pushed along at a good pace by the group. Loved the middle of the night, middle of the ride Rapha cafe greeting us with hot drinks and food as the sun rose over the hills. Thanks again

Glad you enjoyed it Sam. Many have commented on what a unique ride it was that will live long in the memory. Amazing views and weather, a challenging route (95 miles & 7000 odd feet) and great company. Congrats to all the riders and thanks also to Alan, Kieran, Ben and John at USE Exposure lighting.
