High-performance cycling accessory made from soft merino wool

Made from a fabric developed exclusively by Rapha, these high-performance knee warmers combine the natural performance properties of merino wool with a degree of Lycra for stretch and durability. They provide insulation, are highly breathable and also transfer moisture effectively. The fabric is quick-drying so the knee warmers can be used in a variety of conditions.

They keep their shape throughout even a long ride and that’s a good thing. They also stay warm if they get a bit sweaty and are much more odour-resistant than most synthetic fabrics.
There’s just the one seam and it’s flatlock stitched so you can’t even feel it and a silicone rubber gripper stops the top from slipping.

To maintain and protect your merino products we recommend using Rapha Merino Wash »

Rapha Merino Wash has been specially formulated for Rapha merino products, with a gentle action that cleans without stripping out the natural oils that are the key to merino’s performance. Used regularly, the wash will remove dirt and refresh merino garments thanks to ingredients that include Rapha’s Ventoux fragrance. Inspired by the plants and herbs that grow on the slopes of the ‘Giant of Provence’, the wash also has natural Cedar extract to help repel moths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays in place. Works in a variety of temperature I purchased these to replace some worn out merino arm warmers from a different company. These are better in most ways as they have some stretch (5% elastane, 95% wool). The silicone gripper keeps them in place very well (my old ones never seemed to want to stay in place because they had no gripper.) I can wear these in 85F heat without issue as they function as coolers as well as warmers (if you don't believe that black wool can cool you, check out the Bedouin in North Africa and the Tuareg in the Sahara... they wear black wool.) I frequently ride Mt. Hamilton in California, and the 4000ft altitude change means temperatures vary by up to 30F and I find these to be perfect for the task.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So warm, but just not too warm! I bought these especially for the Ride Across Britain (End to End) knowing that there would be early morning starts which might be chilly - I was right! These kept my knees warm, but in true merino style, not too warm and never cold. I bought the small size and the sizings were true to the measurements given. They fold up small like arm warmers so really easy to fit in my jersey pockets along with all the other stuff I was carrying. I can not recommend these enough and would even go as far to say - no cyclist should be without them :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fall riding gear Was worried when I first pulled these on as they seemed sheer and quite insubstantial. Pleasantly surprised after first use with the more warmth than expected and no lack of protection from the wind. Comparable to any competitors with less bulk and more comfort. Sizing is what you'd expect, at least in regards to size M.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy knees, happy cyclist. These "leg" warmers did their job wonderfully. I'm 5'10" tall and these covered from the bottom of my shorts to almost my socks. I only had about 4" of lower leg exposed. They kept my legs nice a warm the times that i've used them. Maybe on the long side of knee warmers, but i was happy about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Merino knee warmers I was very pleased with this purchase because I didn't want to go the full leg warmers and liked the idea of something in between. However, being vertically challenged, the length of the knee warmers is perfect for me because I do have the choice of wearing them shorter or actually as a full length leg warmer! I'm 5'2" or 158cm (approx) and wear a size 8-10 in skirts/pants and a medium in Rapha bibs. I ordered the small knee warmers. They are a perfect fit. They are surprisingly warm and very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Weight Warmers My comments apply to the knee and arm warmers equally. They are both excellent. I am in Southern California, so warmers are used only a small portion of the year, but I find these to be perfect when the conditions call for more clothes. They are comfortable, warm and high quality (as you would expect). Often with arm and knee warmers, I find myself stripping them off part way through a ride as they start to feel too hot, but these I keep in place for the duration of my rides--neither too hot nor too cold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toasty I've been searching for knee warmers that don't have that awful bunching-behind-the-knee feeling for AGES (ok weeks), and these fit the bill (and my knees). Obvs not waterproof but I've worn these in the wet and they retain warmth, and dry fast. Most importantly they are nice and thin, unlike that daft fleecy lycra stuff used in every other knee warmer on the market, so they are adequate for our increasingly temperate British weathers, aside from maybe a week or two in Jan/Feb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with Merino As with anything Rapha makes, the quality is superb. I've owned the Rapha Marino Arm Warmers for a number of years and absolutely love them. They're perfect for those days when you're not quite sure what the temperature is going to be. The cut is perfect so they fit nicely with out bunching or sagging. The silicone band ensures that the knee warmed stay in place. We know how much it sucks to have to pull up our knee warmers because they don't stay in place.
