Cycling leg warmers for cold conditions

Made from fleece-backed Roubaix fabric, leg warmers offer more extensive coverage than Rapha’s ever-popular knee warmers and are ideal for when the conditions turn more hostile.

With shaped left and right legs for comfort, other features include offset seams to prevent chafing and a zipped lower leg with zip guard. The leg warmers have gripper tape top and bottom to hold them securely in place and each leg features an embossed Rapha logo. The leg warmers are finished with reflective tabs for visibility.

"These do a straightforward job really well and the design features we’ve mentioned are genuinely useful. As long as they’re not in the wash, these are the leg warmers we’ve used throughout the autumn."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made - worth the money Ok, so for leg warmers these are quite expensive... but you get what you pay for. Firstly the fit is great, once they're on they stay where they are. No moving around or sliding down. Secondly, they're warm. The first time I used them was at night, it was raining and 6º but I was warm and dry. There's a mixture of lycra and windstopper material that keeps you warm. Thirdly, there's some extra little features which showed that they're really well designed. The zip helps you get them on much quicker and the flat stitched seams ensure comfort on the longest of rides. If you buy cheap, standard seams will stick in to the back of your thigh and your knee and become increasingly painful. Overall, best warmers you can buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All I require to get me through our cold spell. Bought around a month ago and already earned its keep in my regular "go to" drawer of cycling clothing. I opted for a medium despite the size guide recommending I go large. My thighs are 24 inch, so on the max limit for a medium, however they're a perfect length (I'm 5,9 tall) and not too tight on my thighs at all, they're actually very supportive. Great feel to the fabric on your leg, they don't slip, and the ankle zips are very secure. They're plenty warm enough for me. Enough so, that I can't see me investing in winter tights anytime soon, which I had also considered. I've worn them on cold rides, riding along flooded roads and despite getting wet, they still remain warm and comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit tight! I bought these without trying them on, but the actual fit on my legs is great apart from the very top, where it's very tight, but I'm not the lightest guy, so maybe I have to trim up a bit. I wore these in some cold and then very wet riding and they were really great, they never moved position, kept me warm and then dried out very quickly once soaked, just try them on or expect the sizing to be a little tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab Fleece Backed Leg Warmers I really like these - they are definitely my favourite leg warmers. The fit comes up high on the thigh which means no slippage or annoying gaps between your shorts and leg warmers. The zip on the back of the heel helps get them on and off. Previously I used the Rapha merino leg warmers, which were excellent also, however the fit did not run up the thigh and so they would occasionally dip bellow the short leg which I found a little annoying. On the plus side the merino ones were definitely a little cooler in the warmer months whilst still warm in in the cooler months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the BEST! I've tested a variety of leg warmers throughout my days on the chilly roads, but the buck stops here with the Rapha Leg Warmers. First, they comfortably keep your legs warm with its cozy fleece lining. Second, these are the first leg warmers that didn't slowly creep down and bunch up at the knees. I'm impressed!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extremely snug Lovely packaging and feeling of quality. I'm a slim 32inch waist with fairly average legs for someone who does a lot of long-distance cycling and running but unfortunately even the largest size of these leg warmers were just too tight for my thighs, and felt like they were limiting blood supply to the rest of my leg, as well as leaving an unsightly thigh-muffin bulging over the top. Luckily Rapha's returns process is faultless. Will keep shopping around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best leg warmers there are I have been using these for years, until one just got torn recently, and I had to get another pair right away. I have a few leg warmers of different brands, but these are the most comfortable and the ones with the tightest fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very tight Fitting Okay not my favourite Rapha Item. I find them very tight to get on (and tried different sizes before i purchased at a Rapha Store) and don't like the Zipps. Definitely better brands of other leg warmers available. I find Rapha is good on their core products such as bib shorts, jerseys and jackets but seem to let themselves down with their accessories such as arm, leg and knee warmers.

I just received a pair.  I have a question about how to wear them. Should the seam in the front be positioned just below the knee cap?

Asked by: ride
Hi, fitted correctly the seam on the front should be positioned just below the knee.
