Bordeaux - Paris Itinerary
Thursday 12 September
Arrive into Bordeaux by rail / air. Make your own way to the event hotel. You should be at the hotel by 1800 (local time) to be in time for dinner and evening welcome briefing. Mechanical assistance will be available to help you assemble your bike. If you used the London bike shuttle, your bike will have been offloaded and checked.
Friday 13 September
The morning will be spent making final preparations. Main suitcases will be packed up and transported to Paris. Day bags will be stowed in the support van ready for access at the checkpoints. Lunch will be a pasta buffet at the hotel to prepare you for the long ride ahead. The event will start en masse at 1600. The relay will start upon reaching checkpoint 1.
Saturday 14 September
The relay will continue until reaching the penultimate checkpoint. The final segment into Paris will be ridden as a complete team. The first teams will finish at approximately 1000 with the final finishers crossing the line at around 1600. Riders will be transported to the hotel for dinner and an award ceremony.
Sunday 15 September
Departure day. Bikes using the London bike shuttle will be transported back to London for collection.
