The Rapha Winter Socks have been designed for maximum warmth and comfort on even the coldest days on the bike. With a padded toe and footbed, they offer superior insulation to Rapha's standard Merino Socks.

Winter Socks

Cold feet can lead to miserable winter cycling and keeping your extremities warm is vital for successful winter training. The Rapha Winter Socks have been designed to keep your feet comfortable even during the coldest days on the bike. Made from a thicker yarn than Rapha’s traditional socks, season-specific features include a padded toe and footbed for maximum warmth.

The natural fibre absorbs sweat to keep your feet dry and the socks have flat, handlocked stitching in the toes to prevent the seams rubbing. A contrast line graphic runs around the top of the foot and the socks have Rapha text printed inside the ankle cuffs. The text is only visible when the cuffs are folded down.

  • Great stretch for improved fit.
  • Padded toe and footbed for comfort and warmth.
  • Handlocked toe stitching avoids seam rubbing.
  • Itch free, anti-bacterial and odour resistant.

  • Merino-rich blend (52% merino wool, 46% nylon, 2% Elastane).

  • Turn inside out to wash
  • No fabric softener required
  • Machine wash 40c
  • Tumble dry low
  • Do not bleach

Sizing Guide

Sizes range between Small to Extra Large. Above is a guide for UK, US, EU and Japanese measurements.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm socks pair with anything, will suffer anythin These are very warm socks that will keep insulating your feet, even if they're soaked. Wool is great that way. They are a bit thick (not unlike this reviewer) so if your shoes fit on the tight side you may find it a bit hard to stuff your feet in them when you've got these on. Common wisdom around socks in the cold is that a thinner, less insulating sock may work better if there's some air in your shoe/boot, because your shoe traps the warm air, and your foot can be mobile. So it's possible that cyclists, whose shoes are usually spray-on-tight, are doomed to have cold feet. But these socks will go a ways towards helping those riders who do not accept that fate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, and warm I love the usual merino socks, but sometimes they are too cold for me to ride in. These provide the same fit even though they are thicker. Fits in the same shoes perfectly and keeps me warm during colder rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice socks, I wear them on cool days Nice socks, they keep my feet nice and warm. I wear them on cool days and the taller deep winter socks on cold days. I also wear them to football games with my jeans to keep my feet warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Autumn socks not quite winter These sock are extremely comfortable, and they are warm down to about 8 degrees on their own and about 5 with overshoes. Below this which living in the hills my commute is generally is in the winter they are not quite enough. That being said I will be buying another pair for Autumn and Spring rides!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm I have worn these socks on some cool Autumn rides with my road shoes and Rapha neoprene overshoes. The socks are quite thick and undoubtably warm and have a more dense toe and footpad. There doesn't appear to be much lycra in the material (if any) and so the fit is a little loose compared to normal socks. Once on though they are the best socks I have found to keep my feet warm. One thing to bear in mind is that the thickness makes them more snug inside my road shoes - I just get away with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavenly! First ride 3c - Dartmoor Devil Audax, the troops thought I should have worn overshoes, so did I ? but these winter socks were a dream they kept my feet worm, then as the day wormed up to around 10c they still performed perfectly. I'm going to buy some more now.
