Ride winter miles in comfort

Ease the burden of winter miles with the Pro Team Training Jacket, which offers the comfort of a jersey and the protection of a jacket. When you are riding hard in low temperatures, breathability and protection from the elements is essential. The Pro Team Training Jacket’s front panel uses a Polartec Powershield softshell fabric with a perforated membrane and DWR (durable water repellency) to protect you from the elements while a breathable stretch back panel that has also been treated with DWR helps regulate your temperature. A high-cut waist at the front and lower hem at the back provides a streamlined Pro Team fit. There are several reflective features on the jacket: the armband and logo on the collar, Pro Team ‘Convict Stripes’ on the rear, as well as bars on the sleeves. Be comfortable and be seen, deep into winter.

NB: The Pro Team Training Jacket is not fully waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing jacket for cold and rainy rides Really perfect jacket. Warm enough for pretty much any spring/fall rides. Even the rainy ones. Plus looks amazing (getting compliments all the way :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect winter jacket I bought this jacket for late fall/early spring rides but was pleasantly surprised to wear it nearly all winter too. Love the color and fits great; there's a little extra room where the arms and shoulder meet, but it's only noticeable when standing upright. I usually wear a large in classics and xl in pro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An essential piece Only worn once but the cut and material quality are fantastic. Quite simply the best piece of cool weather kit I own. Runs small as I'm 6'1 and broad shouldered but even questioned whether the extra large was a touch slim at first. Now I'm happy with the fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job extremely well this is one of the best jackets I own...its my go to jacket in colder weather....keeps me warm, breathes well and looks and fits great. Never worn it in the rain so can't comment on its waterproofness. Im 187cm 80kg and size L fits perfect

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Great jacket, its my go to for temperatures from zero to about 12 degrees. Any warmer than 12 degrees and I start to cook in it....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Race fit. I'm 6 foot, 175lbs and an XL fits perfect. I would have had to send a large back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro Team Training Jacket Well fitting Jacket. I am 173CM and 65KG and wear a medium. Fits snug and doesn't look ridiculous off the bike. The jacket it very warm, thus only used when below 5 degrees for me. Clearly somer riders feel the cold more than others so the temperature and condition range of the jacket really depends on the rider. Stylish look one expects from Rapha as well as quality of materials and construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Jacket I am 1.90m and 82kg. Large first perfectly. Impressed with arm length. Is super tight fitting for a jacket, so only room for a base layer underneath, but honestly that's all you need. When first put it on feels too small as constricted across chest and shoulders, but don't fret, it is cut for riding your bike! When on bike the cut is amazing, and so comfortable. No flapping or bunching around the midsection, which is a problem with many jackets. Superwarm. Ridden in subzero Canadian temps, and its warmth belies its thin structure. Totally windproof. Fine for endurance rides and hard efforts in cold weather. Ideally suited for Canadian cold riding as we don't get too much rain, instead we get dry cold and wind.

If I am a snug small in the classic jersey should I aim for a medium or large in the classic training jacket?

Asked by: AH Auckland
You should aim for an Medium in the Pro Team Training Jacket as this has a race fit and is therefore a tighter fit.

I bought this in medium and it felt too small (very tight across chest and shoulders) and then I bought the pro team long sleeve training jersey in large and the sleeves were too long! Can you tell me what size is right for me? I am a slim 6'1, 11 stone

Asked by: Charles84
The Pro Team is a Race fit jersey and is a close fitting garment. The sleeves are also longer in the Pro Team fit to accommodate a racing position on the bike, where the bod y is elongated and stretched. If you would prefer a more relaxed it of the Pro Team range then you should take a size up from what you would normally take, but be aware the sleeve length on the garments, will be longer.

Hi I wear a large pro team training jersey Will this jacket fit me in large as well?

Asked by: Doonaps
The large should fit you as well in this jacket.

I am medium in Rapha jerseys so bought this jacket but it feels incredibly tight across the back. I have leaned forward to try & replicate a riding position but it still feels constrictive. I am 6'1, 69kg. Have I got the right size?

Asked by: Charlie1984
Hi, it hard to be exact on your given measurements as it is dependent on body shape regardless of your height and weight but the Pro Team range does have a race (tighter) fit so therefore you may need to size up.

How often should this jacket be re-proofed?

Asked by: Ben O
Hi, there is no exact time frame for re-proofing. The best advice is to re-proof the jacket when water is no longer beading on the surface of the jacket. Other than the water-resistance, the other functionality of the jacket will be unaffected if you do not re-proof regularly.

Is Polartec fabric actually used in this jacket? The product description doesn't mention it, unlike the Pro Team Softshell. The stated fabric composition has also changed from previous versions of this jacket.

Asked by: MrB123
Hi, this jacket is made using a version of Polartec Power Shield Pro.

I am xxl, will this jacket fit ok over my normal xxl shirt.

Asked by: Gw27
Hi, this jacket will fit well over your normal xx-large base layer. It is not usually worn over a jersey but would fit over a Pro Team jersey if worn in very cold conditions.

Hello, I have a past model of the PT jacket in a darker orange and wear a medium, my typical Rapha fit.  Considering a grey also as I wear these a ton.  past model is an excellent fit for me with a single base.  Would I size similar with this model?

Asked by: Jake F
Hi, the fit in this new model is the same as it has been for the past few seasons. We recommend you choose the same size.
