Rapha Merino Socks

Rapha merino socks are the finest cycling socks on the market. Made from soft, luxurious merino wool, the natural fibre wicks sweat better than any synthetic, keeping you cool and dry in the summer and warm in cold weather. It is also naturally anti-bacterial so, unlike polyester, the socks won’t smell after repeated use. The socks have hand locked seams at the toes to prevent rubbing and are reinforced at the heel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great staple Not very sexy, but looking smart and they always keep my feet dry. Great soft and luxury feeling. I frequently use them for running as well, and all other kind of sports.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing changes to what was a go-to product For quite a few years I have bought and really liked this traditional wool cycling socks.Sometime recently however Rapha dumbed them down. The main body of the sock is now a thinner see-through weave, with reinforced heel and upper hem. The effect of the thin weave has been to reduce the best characteristic of wool; warmth. So if you are looking for a soft warm weather sock then okay, like the synthetic team sock, but these wool socks are no longer a go-to sock in cooler (Spring and Fall) conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality These socks have a feeling and look of quality. I have started to use them for sailing as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I have been buying the merino socks for years now and up until this last order have been very satisfied. I'm afraid this last order of 3 pairs are much thinner than previous orders as well as being very small fitting and restrictive across the instep of the foot. One pair ripped when trying on!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable Comfortable, dry and oder-free, what more do you need? Great simple style and cut, although perhaps lacked the supportive knit construction so often found in other 'sports' socks. Sadly wore a white pair out in wet road conditions, and whilst this is something we will all experience they didn't wash well; with all but the toe and heal remaining grey. This remains the challenge of specifying high natural fibre's, and the balance between providing comfort but looking 'dull', not a great style, should have worn the black pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hit and miss Seemingly another change of supplier, hit and miss sizing on all my black and white pairs and the newest incarnation only has the white band round the outside, so when you cut the top seem you no longer get the double stripes. But on the plus side better than the pro sock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Merino wool socks that feel like silk! I bought these Merino wool socks for a London to Paris 300 mile ride over the bank holiday weekend, I wore them for first day riding and my feet felt like they were in silk clouds, I had happy feet! However due to haste in getting back in the saddle and off the over night ferry, I forgot to pick up my prized pair of Rapha merino wool socks. So if you are thinking of purchasing a pair remember to guard them with your life, as mine set sail without their loving owner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice to have quality socks. I wear budget socks all week to commute and these are so much nicer on weekend long rides. Feet breathe nicely and remain comfortable.
