Visibility and breathability in a light package

The Brevet Gilet is crafted for those longer rides when you don’t want to carry much with you, but need to cover yourself for changeable weather. It wears well over a short or long sleeve jersey.

Incorporating windproof fabrics, lightweight mesh, and high-visibility detailing, the Brevet Gilet is a lightweight, packable and windproof outer layer that’s perfectly adapted to riding in low-light conditions. It features black zips, black mesh and black armhole binding and Super Black Reflective Rapha Logos added onto the rear.

  • Mesh atop back panelling for breathability

Body sizing

Chest: measure underneath the armpits with the tape measure straight around.
Back Length: measure from the bottom of where your collar sits/base of the neck to the bottom of your spine.
Arm length: measure from where the seam would start at shoulder to bottom of the wrist.

Is it suitable in hot countries for night rides & sudden downpours?

Asked by: Mimin
This garment is suitable for changeable weather conditions and as we all regulate temperature differently it is hard to advice on the temperature range for individuals and differing exertion levels will also affect its properties. This would however be suitable for night rides but some light showers as this garment is not waterproof.

I have a lightweight pro gilet. Due to mesh paneling at the back it is useless in the rain. I am looking for a gilet that is a little warmer and will also stand up to occasional showers. Is the Brevet gilet the right choice for this?

Asked by: My Name is Thor
Most of our gilets will have mesh panels for exertion. Though we do have the Pro Team Rain Gilet which will allow you to keep the Core dry for a bit longer.

Hi, i normally wear size XL on your jerseys. Should i be getting the same size, or a size bigger for this gilet? Thanks

Asked by: William L
Hi, we recommend you choose the same size as you wear in our jerseys.

Hello, Can you tell me the appx weight of the Brevet Gilet compared to the Rapha Gilet. I see that the material in Brevet is lighter and has more mesh. Wondering what the difference in weight would be a pack able size?

Asked by: Jake F
Hi, this gilet is slightly lighter than the Rapha Gilet. It weighs approximately 100g. Both of these gilets will pack easily into a jersey pocket.

Hi. I was wondering how the Brevet Gilet compares to the standard Rapha Gilet? Do they use the same fabric? What about water resistance? Cheers

Asked by: Ankurrius
Hi, both Gilets offer wind and water resistance. The Brevet Gilet has mesh panels on the side and back, thus offering improved breathability. The Rapha Gilet will offer slightly better water and wind resistance, but has only one mesh panel on the back.

Is this the same sizing as the Rapha Gilet or the Pro Team Gilet. I'm a L in the Rapha Gilet but an XL in the Pro Team Gilet.

Asked by: Danny P
Hi, while the Brevet gilet is a little more relaxed to reflect the nature and position of endurance riding the fit is similar to the Classic Rapha gilet.

If I'm a lrg in my cycling tops , would I still need a lrg brevet, or do I need to go up a size as its worn over the top ?

Asked by: Coxy
Hi, you do not need to size up for the gilet. The cut allows for 'same size'
