A Continental Convenience

Sunday is the last day of the National Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS) in Richmond, Virginia and it is a bit sad to see it come to an end. The US office has been planning, working and looking forward to this date for much of the winter, and to know that it all comes down in 24-hours is bittersweet. So far the people of Virginia (and North Carolina, Georgia, D.C., NY, Mass, Toronto, and people from all over the U.S. in attendance) have been terrific, stopping into our Rapha Continental inspired Mini Mart to say hello.

After three years and 50 rides around North America, we have solid understanding of what a good local store feels like. Beverage cooler, magazine racks, shelving, lottery, public postings and a cigarette wall (smartly rebranded by Carey SH with the names of our Continental rides), help to set the store—and a few shiny bikes laying against the front wall complete the quick stop spot.

Great to see Slate & Co at the show. The new range looks great and the show set up is spot on. The winter gear has proven well with all the snow this year and looking forward to testing the spring line in the Dolomites soon.
Hope you guys will set up another Gentlemen's ride in the DC/Va area this summer. Check out Mtns of Misery for a good ride in Blacksburg: http://www.cyclingdoubleheader.com/mountains-of-misery
Cheers,
Dave

It was great to see so many of you this weekend. Austin in 2011 is official, with Mellow Johnny's, Shiner-Bock and Queso from Guerro's, you definitely should not miss next year.

Awesome! Looking forward to it. Perhaps a trip out to the Round Rock bakery for some donuts is in order. Hey, that could be an interesting Gentlemen's Ride…

Nice to see you guys at the show! Love the look of the new jerseys, BTW. The ride Sunday AM was excellent. I drove back down from D.C. just for the Gentlemen's ride. Will you be posting pics/video of the ride?
